Awesome!

Probably the best Mexican food in town. They have an extensive menu, and I have yet to have anything that is anything less than amazing. They have an amazing breakfast as well, food is always hot and perfectly prepared. Family owned, great service.

We are always looking for a good breakfast. I looked on Yelp and found Armentas. It is close to downtown and kind of off the beaten track. The restaurant offers Mexican type breakfasts that are fairly basic in nature. We came in about three minutes before the kitchen changed over to lunch and the waitress made sure we got breakfast... We were warned that we might have to wait for a table, so we were prepared for that. What annoyed me was that in the 15-20 minutes we had to stand and wait, not a single employee acknowledged us or said a word, despite the fact that multiple waitresses had to walk right by us to get back and forth.... ...if you are passing through and need a great meal before going on. We were getting cranky and needed something good and fast and Armenta's fit the bill. Well, it doesn't look like much both outside and inside, but just wait until you taste the food. Chicken tacos were really good. Also, both The Armenta's and Felipe specials were very... More

Authentic Mexican food with great customer service! Try to stop every time we're in San Angelo. Better than any chain joint or some of the more mainstream places.

Great find in San Angelo. Some of the best mexican food I have had. Kind of a cramped dining space, but the food and service were excellent. The beans and rice were particularly really good, which is something that would usually go unnoticed at a mexican restaurant. You can't go wrong with the enchiladas verdes.

This is one of the smallest restaurants I've ever been but don't let that dissuade you. They also have a nice patio if inside seating isn't your preference. Armenta's does a good job of providing dishes you're familiar with but they are executed differently than your average Tex-Mex. It's kind of hard to describe but I can say you won't... More

This is a place that usually only locals know go to. Updated from its humble beginnings though still tight and quaint dining. The food is always good and all authentic. Always a great place to eat Mexican food.

This place was recommended by a local for being the most authentic mexican places in town. It's a hole in the wall cafe that is a GEM! The chips are hot, salsa is fresh and a little spicy, and the guacamole with Pico de Gallo was the best I have ever had. Park across the street and enjoy the friendly... More

We arrived in San Angelo late on Friday and asked our hotel concierge where we should eat. He suggested Armenta's. Located off the beaten path of town, we found Armenta's to be a charming Mexican food establishment. Service was fast and friendly, the complimentary chips and salsa were delicious, and our meals arrived within 15 minutes of sitting down. We... More
