This place tries to kid itself that it is somehow "upscale" and "fine-dining," but this couldn't be further from the truth. The food is extremely ordinary and, at that, is overpriced. The only virtue of the place is that is located in a historical building, but even that comes at a price, it smells very musty the minute you walk... More

We have always enjoyed eating lunch at your establishment. Your staff always top notch. The food cooked to pefection. However on July 28, 2014 at 12 noon oue lunch became a nightmare. We walked in and had to wait several minutes to be seated, you had only 3 tables occupied. We ordered our drinks, 2 cokes and a water. One... More

Delightful and colorful, steakhouse, full of naughty history in a former bordello. Excellent appetizers that included fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, fried jalapenos, bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos, and wonderful fried onion rings. Nice salad with tasty dressing, perfectly prepared filet and coupled with a baked potato stuffed with your choice of "goodies". The house Cabernet was certainly adequate for the price... More

A piece of history worth enjoying. The food was delightful and the service was attentive. The bacon wrapped jalapenos might be enough to get me to return.

Real neat restaurant. Good southwestern food, pleasant 19th century genteel ambiance. The owner is a wellspring of historical knowledge and facts about San Angelo. Definitely a must. Ask the owner about the "Miss Wool" contest.

This place is loaded with atmosphere and ambience. The wait staff was very courteous, fast and friendly. On my first visit I had the ribeye which was excellent and the green beans that came with it were absolutely amazing. On my second visit I tried one of their "famous" burgers. I was less than impressed and it is the only... More

The three of us have been in San Angelo once a year for the past ten years and always look forward to at least one meal at Miss Hattie's. This year was a big let down. The word must be out because when we arrived, the dinning room was empty and it was close to dinner time. We were seated... More

This former brothel is an excellent change from the flood of chain restaurants. Unique in food and atmosphere, Ms Hattie's was fabulous. Cricket was our server and he too had character. I ordered the stuffed steak and it was greT. Stuffed with crab meat and totally flavorful, it was too huge to eat in one sitting and made for great... More

Service was great, but the food was mediocre at best. The Cobb salad lacked blue cheese and had bacon bits instead of fresh crumbled bacon. The menu said it was mixed greens, but there was only limp iceberg. One of our party had the quiche and loved it. I have always loved the atmosphere, but will order a burger next... More

Homemade salad dressings. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, 21 day aged, Mesquite smoked rib eye. Sides were great. Our waiter Ruben, spot on!
