Okay, I admit it. I am a Caldo fan. If I look on the menu of a restaurant that says it is Mexican and don't find some for of Caldo, I walk out. I was in San Angelo visiting a friend in the Hospital and and decided to try to find some good Mexican food. I ran across Franco's and... More

This is one of the local's secrets. It is hard to get to and doesn't offer much in the way of atmosphere but the food is all worth it. If you are looking for something local this is the place to go.

Francos is by far the most authentic Mexican food in San Angelo. It has turned into a must eat place for me at least a few times a month. Its not the biggest place, but who cares?? The food is worth waiting in line. Friendly staff and great food!

It is true this place is small and usually crowded. That is because the food is fresh and always incredible. The portions are big and the plates are heated to keep the food hot while you're eating. Try the beef fajita burrito with chili and cheese. Wow!

Franco's is not much to look at and remains very popular with the locals. Great TexMex at a reasonable price. Expect a wait if you come at peak hours. It is almost always crowded. Definitely passes the go where the locals go test though.

This the best Mexican food in town. The only problem I have with this place is that it's so small. But the service is spectacular and the people are friendly.

I love this place! It is a must when I'm in Angelo. In my opinion their cheese and onion enchiladas are THE best!

This place was perfect. Food was above average, service was above average & pricing was perfect. The white sauce for the chips is unique (in a good way) & was a great conversation - how to make it. The guacamole was made at the table and was huge, fabulous. My meal was off the kids menu - smaller portion &... More
