Small, quaint, tearoom. The owner was lovely. The food was really good. My companion and I were discussing where we wanted to go for dinner. The owner overheard and offered to call and make our reservations for us. Great place!

Price charged was more than the menu showed. Hostess said she forgot to tell us that specials cost more.

We enjoyed our relaxing light lunch at the Ambrosia Tea Room. The decor was very quaint and pretty. The service was good. The sandwiches were delicious. It took a long time for the food to arrive, but we were not in a hurry, so it was not an issue. We did try the special drink of the day, which was... More

First off, the sandwiches we had were delicious. We had chicken waldorf on cinnamon bread and turkey, avocado, and cranberry on a kaiser roll. We also had tomato basil soup and mushroom spinach soup. The avocado tasted store bought and the side of fruit was canned--a let down. It is late spring and fresh fruit is cheap at the moment.... More

My daughter and I stopped by today to have a bite of lunch and ended up leaving after two bites. My sandwich had was very skimpy and tasted bad, plain white bread and my daughters was "prepackaged" guac. The side order of fruit was canned fruit. Now this is May when fresh fruit is abundant. Really a disappointment.

Gosh, hate to do this but this has potential but we had to take a pass. Ambrosia, please do something with that front lobby of yours as it looks like the tenants vacated at midnight and left their junk behind.

The food was not what I would expect from a tea room. I had the chicken salad sandwich with soup. The sandwich although it tasted good, it was like you opened up a container of store bought chicken salad and spread it on plain wheat sandwich bread. Nothing to distinguish the sandwich as something special. The fruit side was in... More

My husband and I always stop at this tea room when we visit Salado. We enjoy the tea room atmosphere, the charm of the tea hats and other "girly" articles used as decorations (actually, I think my husband tolerates it while I enjoy it - he enjoys the food). The food is always good, but the service is always slow.... More

My sister and I went for an early lunch on a Saturday and just the idea of a "tea" style lunch made us a little giddy... Weeee :-) We were greeted and shown to a table that had a hat (?) as a centerpiece. Um... Maybe some flowers or something a little more traditional would have been a bit less... More

This quaint tea room offers wonderful homeade treats. Both the food and the service is always excellent. Have been there many times and am never disappointed.
