We had been going to Big Star since it opened. The burgers were always juicy and flavorful but what really shone were the onion rings and the fries. Delightfully salty, a touch greasy, and a total delight. We tried to go there last week and they were closed, dang it.

Before the new owners, the hamburgers were awesome. Very filling. Than the new owners took over and got a little cheap with their toppings. Tried several times but it just wasn't the same. Now it's closed.

I have eaten here twice, so far and both times have been great. No complaints that would matter because the food and the feel of this place just makes you feel good. I will definitely go back for another burger.

I caution anyone who chooses to eat at this place. I was very disgusted at the food preparation. First of all it is just too easy to include prep gloves as part if your inventory. One gentleman swept the floor right outside the kitchen and did not wash his hands before coming into the kitchen to help prep and get... More

Many of my friends rave about Big Star Burgers. Maybe I'm just too picky, but I expect better quality from something so simple as burgers and fries. IMHO their beef is not of high quality. Their onion rings and french fries taste of stale grease. This one is completely off my list. The restaurant is located in an older building... More

We have been here twice since moving to Rowlett, and OMG it is good. The meat is succulent, and the burgers are huge. This is my favorite burger in Dallas County. The atmosphere is quaint, and the service good. They also serve salads and my wife is crazy about the place.

Nice place. Clean burger joint. Burgers are ok but nothing to write home about. I was told that they had awesome burgers so the family and I checked it out. Staff was very dry and impersonal. (Not a happy group of folks and it made the dining experience blah. Felt like they really didn't care one way or another if... More
