Much of the fare is standard Tex Mex, always very good, though not outstanding. There are several items that are exceptional though, like the smoked chicken fajitas. This place is right on I35 and is very popular. Though it is a large restaurant, on some days you may have to wait an hour or more for a seat. Call ahead!

You gotta know where to go to get the best of everything. For queso, I'd pick another Tex-Mex place, but La Margarita has the best tortillas in town. Even the corn tortillas (far larger than you'll find elsewhere) are fresh, hot and delicious. But the flour tortillas -- be still my taste buds! -- THIS is why I come here.... More

My wife and I though the food was good but not exceptional on our dinner visit. The only bright spot was the stuffed avacodo my wife got which did meet expectations. Prices seemed a bit high, but I guess that is what to expect along a very heavily traveled thoroughfare in central Texas. Service was OK, just not exceptional from... More

This place has solid food - I like the chicken enchiladas and the stuffed avocado. The fajitas are okay, but not anywhere near the best. The margaritas are really good, and the favorite thing among my set is the green salsa. You have to ask for it, but it seriously hot and super good. When I crave La Marg, it's... More

We used to eat here about 5 times a week, but the manager left and it hasn't been the same since. My husband has been in the kitchen there once and said it was spotless clean. We like the fajitas but they give my husband horrible heart burn. Also after dining here you will smell horrible until you go shower.... More

Their breakfast is waaaay better than their lunch and dinner. The best thing they have on their menu is their salsa, which is fresh and delicious. The fajitas are only so so, and I really really wish they would cook their tortillas more - they are almost raw! The best thing on the menu to me is their fish tacos,... More

My mother-in-law hosted our rehearsal dinner at the La Margarita, a group of about 20-25, the youngest present was 6 years old, oldest early 70's. There was something for everybody on the menu, The food took about 10-20 minuets to arrive (depending on the dish) but it was hot, right off the grill, the server was very polite and patient... During a 6-night stay in Round Rock, we ate at La Margarita 3 times. It was just such a friendly and pleasant environment, the food was excellent and the service was spectacular. Each time we went there, they were quite busy so we elected to sit in the bar area. Sean, one of the bartenders, made certain we had everything... More

This place will rob your credit card account . Two of my friends found fraud from this restaurant on there accounts. I was charged $ 110.00 for a bill of $22.00 Theye did this to me again 6 months later three times for one night.. You will get ripped off.

Fresh tortillas, decent margs, and superb chips....what more could you want? My wife loves a Chicken dish, I love the beef burrito.
