Really good ribs & fast service.

I got into town kind of late, most places were packed out the door. Then I found Pok-e-joes, and I am soooo glad I did. Walked in and straight to the food line(cafeteria style). Nothing was over cooked or seemed like it had been sitting there all day. It was fresh and plentiful. I was more than... read more

This is my first time in Texas, and people have told me that Pok-e-Jo's and Salt Lick are the best Texas BBQ spots. So I tried them both. 10% discount to first time visitors at this place! If it's your first visit, TELL THEM, and you get the discount. Very nice. The atmosphere here is a bit depressing. On the... More

I had lunch here on the last day of my trip to Texas. You get a tray and go through a line like in a cafeteria, with all kinds of delicious food making your mouth water. The bbq was good, and I especially enjoyed the baked potato casserole. It was nice and dense, not fluffy like mashed potatoes. The jalepeño... More

With so many choices of BBQ to choose from in the surrounding area, Pok-e-Jo's is pretty good. They offer the usual BBQ fare but also add a lot more choices for sides: Potato Salad,Coleslaw Green Salad, Broccoli Salad, Fruit Salad, Banana Pudding, Black Bean Pico, Buttered Corn,Mac N Cheese, Green Bean Casserole, Jalapeno Corn Bread Casserole, Baked Potato Casserole, Broccoli-Rice... Good food overall although the brisket was a bit dry, good variety of meats and sides and desserts, pleasant and casual atmosphere, a bit high priced. The place to go if you want an authentic smokehouse dinner. Good service from friendly staff.

Stopped in for a late BBQ dinner. I had the two meat plate with potato casserole and beans as the side. Added a Shiner Bock, nice combo! Service was great, food was great and the restaurant was very clean and neat. Watched the Thursday night football game, Atlanta was blowing Tampa away by halftime. I won't hold a bad football... Austin has it's share of BBQ places but if you are a fan of turkey- then Pok-E-Jo's is where you want to go. Always moist, lean and flavorful. Tater-tot casserole or their potato salad are great as well.

There are many places in Round Rock to get BBQ, and this is one of my regular destinations. Part of a regional chain, this particular located can be found in a strip center off of IH-35, so there’s a lot of available parking. The interior is done in hard wood (walls and floors), and the furniture is plain but simple.... More
