Overpriced, overrated! This place is nothing special; there are tons of places better. Good variety of breakfast tacos though.

The barbecue is reliably good and I like that one can select the relative fattiness (flavor) of the meat. I find the setting too noisy and uncomfortable to eat in, but enjoy picking up meals to take home.

Always good, never disappointed with the quality at Rudy's. Love the atmosphere, vibe, smell, service and the sides.

I highly recommend the extra moist brisket!! So tender and full of flavor you might want to skip the bbq sauce. Fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. They are happy to explain the different dishes as well as assistance with how much to order per person when the group is large.

Rudy's is always good. You can select moist or lean beef -- always a hard choice. The smoked sausage is great too. I usually have a hot link on the side. You eat family style on butcher paper. Have eaten at Rudy's many times and have never been disappointed. Their BBQ sauce is great and they sell it by the... More

Very tasty, authentic barbecue for a chain. Go early, lines are out the door by 6:30. The creamed corn was especially good.

Rudy's made their name for their sauce, but their smoked meats are actually very good, albeit a bit pricey. Don't let the fact that they are in a gas station scare you away. they're doing things right in the back to turn out this quality and consistency of product. Moist brisket is popular as is their sausage. Don't miss the... More

Great food - friendly atmosphere! You can eat inside or out on the patio - year round. The manager is always willing to help with anything you need.

If you want some generally good authentic Texas BBQ served in an authentic Texas way, this is your place. Sure, there are a number of places in central Texas that far outpace it in any individual category and each of those usually has their specialties, but for just good all-around Texas BBQ, it is hard to beat Rudy's. Besides the... More

Looking for Texas BBQ? Go to Rudy's. The staff was very helpful and gave me samples of the different kinds of BBQ they had. Seating is on picnic tables and the atmosphere is casual and fun. The brisket was good, but not up to all the hype.
