First time to eat at Rudy's. When I went in and told them it was my first time and asked for recs, the cashier brought me samples of moist brisket, lean brisket, turkey and creamed corn. I ordered the moist brisket, jalapeño sausage, and the creamed corn. While I wasn't a fan of the hot sausage (wasn't really that hot... More

Food is excellent, service great, prices food, line long - should have plates though, not individual times.

OK. First things first. If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere. This place is in located at a gas station. That being said, it is a large restaurant with plenty of seating for the crowds. Unfortunately, most of the seating is in an indoor/outdoor area that is "cooled" with a couple dozen wall fans. All seating is on pic-nic tables,... More

Very casual with red checkered tablecloths. BBQ is always good and the creamed corn is a must try. Sause is available for purchase in large and small bottles.

This is by far the best barbecue I had in Texas. It is worth every visit. Beef brisket, spare ribs... I cannot get tired of eating it.

This is one on the best locations for Rudy's. The staff are super ready to help you satisfy your hunger and the BBQ is always top notch. Don't let the line to order fool you, they can be quite busy but the flow moves very fast. It is great spot to take out-of-state guests who have never tried BBQ Texas... More

Rudy's - all locations - is an Austin treat. The barbecue is outstanding. I prefer their moist brisket and their sausage. For a true barbecue meal, with cole slaw and potato salad and a choice of bottled drinks, Rudy's is one of my go-to places.

I love the fact that they give new eaters samples of their brisket. I also love the different types of brisket you can choose from (dry, medium or juicy). I love that it's a simple place, with good food. After all, I came for the food!

We were traveling through and decided to stop based on reviews. It can be a little overwhelming trying to decide what to order, everything moves very fast. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Upon learning it was our first time, we were offered samples of meats and sides. We had extra lean brisket, smoked turkey, creamed corn, and potato...
