Great food, great value

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with the kids— and just happened to walk in with a LARGE (unexpected) party that filled up half of the dining room. We were seated promptly and since we were in the mood for burgers, got our order in before the giant party slammed the kitchen. The iced tea was... read more

My family and I came out to Rosebud today (dad's hometown) to visit his parents. We ate at HWY 77 at their recommendation (mom, brother and I had never been), and it was absolutely marvelous. Being a native Texan and an old soul at heart, I love me a good diner. And y'all's place was better than good. The portraits... More

But disappointed with the bill. I had asked the waitress if I wanted only a small salad instead of the two sides offered, would I have to pay the addtional $1.50 for the salad. She said no. So I get my bill, and I was charged the $1.50. So, check your bill. (Not to mention I had to ask for... More

Nice cafe decorated with photos honoring military service. Nice & cool inside. Very clean with excellent friendly service. I enjoyed the fried mushrooms. Did not try but desserts sounded good.

Been here a couple of times. Everything we have had was great. Big portions. Home cooking. Original. Entrees and desserts were all great. Nice selection. Nice, clean, welcoming atmosphere. And all of the staff are exceptionally friendly. They really want you here! Love this place!

I've been there a couple of times for lunch. The food is great - wholesome home cooking at a fair price. Atmosphere is very clean - smoke and grease free. The cafe's tribute to area servicemen is an added treat - especially when you recognize some of the names. It's worth the drive and I definitely plan to return.

I took my mom here for a belated Mother's Day lunch and it was a terrific choice. Everything we ate ranged from good to great. The fried catfish was excellent! Our server was especially friendly and helpful, as was the owner. We loved the veterans' photos covering the walls.

Had a nice dinner while in Rosebud with 13 others. Service was great between one server and the owner. Food was good and came out quick for a group our size. Biggest drawback was advertisement for BBQ night and when we ordered, there was no brisket. No brisket in Texas?? So decided on ribs and turned out they only had... More

Yummm! Great chicken-fried steak & chicken. Hint, when they ask whether you want brown or white gravy, get both. They are light on salt and pepper, which I prefer. I can season my own. Peach cobbler is a must, as is the thick, hand breaded onion rings. It's on the road to nowhere big, so make a detour and go... More
