If you are ever in this area you must try their breakfast and I highly recommend The Alamo. SOOOOOOOOOOO good! It's usually very busy so plan to wait a few minutes.

We came across this great place driving through town one morning! Very nice menu selection not your typical breakfast. This place offers food you would expect to see at a five star restuarant in the metro uptown area , not in downtown Rockwall! Great quality of food, very well presented exceeded our expections! Also enjoyed the boutiques and shops on... More

I've only been for breakfast- though their lunch/dinner optins sound amazing. I got sweet potatoe pancakes and they were absolutely amazing. My mom got the huevos rancheros and loved it. Such a fun atmosphere too. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is not your norm, had a different but very awesome menu. Great for the whole family. Was so Great went back the next day, to eat again and brought family. Staff is very friendly. Is located in old downtown Rockwell TX. Surrounded by unique boutique's. Also had a farmers market on Saturday.

Stopped by for breakfast after shopping at farmers market. Shared biscuits and gravy with the husband since they were out of the sweet buns. The gravy had a kick, but we like spicy so we enjoyed it. Service was lacking and we thought the price was too high. Probably will not be back just for those two reasons.

We went on a Sunday, and wee a party of 9. A solid hour after being seated, they told us they had lost our order. We were not given a reduction on the bill, and a poor apology. Won't go back.

Dinner with the hubby. We ordered fried green tomatoes, salmon, and a burger. The staff was attentive and the presentation beautiful. There were lots of families with older children as well as quite a few people at the bar. We were comfortable just the two of us enjoying a quiet meal. The dinner price ranges from around $15+. My salmon... More

Service is always mediocre, at best - so don't expect too much and you will not be disappointed. I have only dined here for breakfasts and brunch, so I do not know about their lunch and dinner choices. The waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and fruit have always been good choices. The sweet potato pancakes and pecan waffles are my... More

A friend of mine and I met at The Fatted Calf for brunch recently on a Saturday morning. We were seated immediately. Our orders were taken quickly, and the food was served with no problems to our orders. I had the pancakes (two very large ones), and my friend had an omelet. Even though the pancakes were served with syrup,... More

Brought a foodie guest from out of town in to have lunch and couldn't believe that they made us wait with 3 people and seated two large tables in front of us. I am 7 months pregnant and was eager to sit and enjoy the delicious fried chicken that I remembered. Service was horrible from the beginning. Took us 15... More
