Our hand-tossed pies are baked in a 900° wood oven. Our chefs then top them with organic ingredients, local produce and imported cheeses. Local favorites are the Truffle Pie with tartufo, potato, pancetta, rosemary and egg; the Standard with pomodoraccio tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil; and most of all - our Crab Dip. Everything is cooked to perfection 100% in our wood fire oven.

Lively, Casual, Yumminess on Rockwall's New Square

Chef-driven menu full of healthy and tasty choices! Large, interesting "sharable" salads. Nice wine list. Outstanding woodfired pizzas with delicate thin crusts and gourmet toppings. Sunday nights are busy with 1/2 price bottles of wine! Expect a short wait at this popular place.

Have visited Zanata several times on either date night with hubs or with family or friends. It is one of our favorites in all of DFW, and we eat out ALOT. We have never gone here and had a bad meal. Everything we've ever ordered has been excellent. It's nice to have a choice on either going the "less expensive"... More

Zanata is nestled on the olde town square in Rockwall. It's location is as charming as the rustic open windows and reclaimed industrial decor. It is rare to find a restaurant that will please families, foodies, localvores, and meat and tater lovers alike, but Zanata does. My go-to dishes are the New York White pie (wood-fired with the freshest of... More

Visited twice with a year's span between, and the quality of the food didn't decrease! Upscale Italian fare and it's quite delicious! Good wine selection. When crowded the waits times for service can be aggravating (hence the one-point drop) but it's to be expected. That, and parking is difficult due to downtown Rockwall's little streets. Pro tip: reservations, and also... More

I had eaten at Zanata twice before and when my friends wanted to eat there for lunch I thought surely that the third time would be the charm. It was not. I ordered the Z Burger. The meat was well done not medium as I had ordered. The bun was Ciabatta bread I believe and way to chewy. I could... More

I'm sorry to hear you have had 3 poor experiences at Zanata. I take my reviews seriously and will look into the issues you've stated in your reviews. The one thing I know I can't change are the chips. We cook everything (literally, everything) in our two wood burning ovens. In fact, we boil water in the ovens to cook... More

We have visited a few times. We love the dip on the menu, but it's hit or miss with specials. There's unusual flavors & spices a lot of times. They changed the spices in the mussels. They used to be our favorite dish. The restaurant is awfully loud too. They don't take reservations and there is a long wait on... More

The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is warm. Just make sure you are not in a rush as it is not "fast food" or fast food quality. You will want to have time to fully enjoy it.

I've been to Zanata in Rockwall a few times now. Every time I go, the food and cocktails are always top-notch. My only suggestion would be to update the menu more often. They focus on a seasonal menu, which I respect and love - and am a firm believer in doing a few things perfectly rather than doing MANY things... More

This is the number one rated restaurant in Rockwall according to TA so we checked it out for lunch. They have there menu listed on this site but it was not accurate. They do not serve sandwiches anymore so keep that in mind if you are browsing their menu here. We were sat by the only server including FOH and... More
