Evening meal

This is second time we have eaten at Latitude. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Atmospher nice and quiet. Food was good and there was plenty to eat. We had Fish Oscar and the Fish Sophia. Catch of the day was Snapper. Good flavor . Just a little pricey.

My wife and I normally split both the appetizer(s) and the dinner entree. After being served blue crab in a dish of melted butter, we were served the black drum oscar style, with crab meat atop and hollandaise on the side. Similar to the appetizer, the entire dish was soaked with butter and oil. Melted butter was literally standing on... More

We have been eating at different restaurants in Rockport for some time but this was a first at Latitudes. Our food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was perfect. Every thing about our dining experience there was excellent! By far the best place for fine dining in Rockport.

The atmosphere is great and lovely to look at. Very clean dining area and nice staff. However this all is pointless to me, as the food was bland and over priced. The shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. Nothing had much flavor. I would rather go to a hole in the wall place with delicious inspiring food.

My wife and I were really looking forward to going to this restaurant. Read the reviews and got all dressed up for a great dining experience. Boy, couldn't have been more disappointed. Food was average and the prices were over the top. Don't mind paying top dollar if the food and service are to match. Looks like they care more... More

Seriously, the steak was perfection, the bread and (garlic) butter was so good I am going to make it tonight (or at least attempt to). Key lime pie was really REALLY good!

This is a very solid, well managed restaurant with good food, served in an art gallery. We had escargot, spinach salad with Ahi tuna, and a grouper Provencal, with a very interesting, rich mushroom sauce. The manager showed us the other dining room and the bar (which seemed to be hoping).

We heard about this place from the neighbors we met next to our vacation home rental. It did not dissapoint. It was a little pricey but, worth it for the great seafood. Honestly, everything we had was great. We loved the salad with blue cheese crumbles, crab cakes were awesoome, and even the French bread with garlic butter was excellent.... More

The Rockport/ Fulton Texas area, a birding mecca and winter home of the whooping crane, is at Latitude 28 on the Gulf coast; it also happens to be the name of one of the finer restaurants in the area- actually a restaurant and art gallery. A friend who grew up in the area and became a chef in one of... More

Had the Snapper Buerre Blanc with a salad which had a roasted garlic dressing. The fish and salad were wonderful. The atmosphere at Latitudes is dressy casual. Mary makes the best margaritas up in a martini glass. I eat at Latitudes when I am in town. Latitudes offers great food and service. Its a must when in Rockport. They open... More
