We had dined here before, when it was Hemingways. We had good experiences then, however this time was different. The service was really poor. I had the grilled swordfish and it was dry and tough. I asked for a glass of sauvignon blanc and was told I could onlyget it by the bottle and was not even given another option.... More

I will upfront by saying that I was hesitant to try a new place where I was used to a level of quality and service from its previous name. Upon entering the piano player greeted us along with the server. We sat at the bar as we had only anticipated to have a few drinks. We decided to venture out... More

I literally had the most fabulous time ever! We had Faye, the daughter of the owners, serve us. I was greeted like we had been friends for years. They know my parents (Don and Meredith) really well so everyone came over to our table to welcome us. The piano player was beyond cool and also came over to greet us.... More

Service was extremely poor. Orders were mixed up. Some finally got their meal when others were already finished. The food was good.

The owners are fabulous and immediately make you feel welcome. The menu boasts superb selections. The bread is passable but not the quality one would wish to fine. The food was fine, but not as tasty as one would like for the price. The wait staff was disorganized and lost most of the time. It is a new establishment and... More

Just went to the new Allegro with a gaggle of girlfriends We had a great time. The staff was attentive and the new owner even came out to say hello. We had a bunch of appetizers including mussels, calimari, buffalo wings, etc and it was all great. The mussels were an especially big hit.

We had lunch here December 23rd. Everything was done PERFECTLY. We started with a basket of rolls with cinnamon sugar butter. (I would like them to include regular butter too.) My husband had a delicious steak and shrimp special. I had a tasty and crispy Rueben sandwich with perfectly cooked steak fries. Gram had a hefty chicken quesadilla. Hannah had... More

This restaurant is classy inside. It was a Saturday night and there was only one other table occupied. The service was soooo slow. It took forever to get our food but when it finally arrived it was delicious with nice presentation.

My husband & I are spending the weekend here with friends & each of us had something different but each one was delicious! We started with the crabcakes as an appetizer. My husband had flounder almondine that was the best I've ever tasted. The bread pudding was to die for! The staff was very attentive & personable & the new... More
