A Very Special Place

We were in Roanoke on business looking for a fine meal to celebrate finishing our work there. We found the perfect place. Fine dining, excellent service, great wine list. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Just looking at the exterior of the Classic Cafe, you'd think it to be a down home country cooking cafe. However, once inside it is indeed more classy. The chef prepared food is excellent. It is quite pricey, so you might want to try it for a special occasion rather than an everyday meal, unless you're used to "living high... More

I've visited more than 10 times and every time the food, atmosphere and service are impeccable. I wish there were more 'fine dining' restaurants in Roanoke - the 'Dining Capital of Texas'. This is a well kept secret but spread the word because it's fantastic.

My husband and I went with another couple to this quaint and cozy restaurant. They are frequent and familiar guests and we were first timers. We had drinks, appetizers, dinner, wines and desserts so we did the whole experience. It was all excellent. The girls both had sea bass and the guys had filets. A white wine recommended for us... This little house has been a restaurant for years. The wait staff is dressed in white shirts and black ties, the complimentary bread selections are terrific, and for an appetizer, the Fried Calamari excellent. My wife had the crab cakes, the were a little smoky tasting for my palate, but she loved them. I had the Trout stuffed with crab.... More

Located in a quaint old home, Classic Cafe offers interesting and tasty dishes. The staff are cordial and the high quality food coupled with friendly service makes this restaurant a DFW standard.

Nice little restaurant with really great food. More for special occasions and celebrations, although I know some people that go here on a regular basis. Food is excellent, as well as service. I have heard they have wine tastings and pairings.

I've visited twice now to Classic Cafe for lunches and have been very impressed with the food and service. Yes, it is upscale and higher price, but that is great to have a hidden gem in this area and not have to drive into Dallas or Fort Worth for a 5 star experience. The chef seems to always be experimenting... More

Ate here in December, 2014. Had a reservation for 4. Excellent high end restaurant - a little hard to find. If you drove by nothing would lead you to tumble to the fact that a 3 or 4 star eatery was located here. Waitress was unusually professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and gifted at having that knack to know when to "be present"... More

The Classic Cafe is in an old house in Roanoke and it is very well done inside. The floors creak and the atmosphere is cozy. There are many rooms and not many tables in each room. The average price is around $30 to $50, but the food is upscale and delicious. They have a garden and grow some of their... More
