A great little restaurant in a renovated house, great service, interesting menu, creative cocktails. Why did I rate it average? The taste of the food. While the presentation was nice, the flavors were flat. I had the Jagerscchnitzel (AKA german chicken fried steak) and it was chewy and dry. Others in our party had the crab cakes and the soup... Classic Café is one of my ALL time favorite places to eat! It's wonderful for a special occasion. Three girl friends took me for my birthday. Food was outstanding and although none of us ordered dessert, they brought a wonderful ice cream dish with "happy birthday" written in chocolate to our table. I host a Christmas lunch each year, and... More

The Classic Café is one restaurant not to be missed. It is a very nice intimate dining place that welcomes diner to relax and enjoy a fine dining experience with very attentive service. The wine list is notable, entrees will please one's appetite, and the desserts well prepared and a perfect end to a fine meal.

We were in Roanoke on business looking for a fine meal to celebrate finishing our work there. We found the perfect place. Fine dining, excellent service, great wine list. Expensive, but worth every penny.

Just looking at the exterior of the Classic Cafe, you'd think it to be a down home country cooking cafe. However, once inside it is indeed more classy. The chef prepared food is excellent. It is quite pricey, so you might want to try it for a special occasion rather than an everyday meal, unless you're used to "living high... More

I've visited more than 10 times and every time the food, atmosphere and service are impeccable. I wish there were more 'fine dining' restaurants in Roanoke - the 'Dining Capital of Texas'. This is a well kept secret but spread the word because it's fantastic.

My husband and I went with another couple to this quaint and cozy restaurant. They are frequent and familiar guests and we were first timers. We had drinks, appetizers, dinner, wines and desserts so we did the whole experience. It was all excellent. The girls both had sea bass and the guys had filets. A white wine recommended for us... This little house has been a restaurant for years. The wait staff is dressed in white shirts and black ties, the complimentary bread selections are terrific, and for an appetizer, the Fried Calamari excellent. My wife had the crab cakes, the were a little smoky tasting for my palate, but she loved them. I had the Trout stuffed with crab.... More
