I've heard about Classic Cafe for years, and finally got there last night. The occasion was my daughter's 17th. She, my mom, a couple of her friends and I went after volleyball. My first kudos, then, is to thank them for letting post-game people into their lovely place. The most memorable component of Classic is the service. We had a... More

On October 7, I had a great birthday lunch at the Classic. WOW! I had the Chef Charles special of the day which was a Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Chimichurri sauce. Melt in your mouth lamb, with a garlicy, minty sauce. I don't know what you call it, but my friend had Chef Charles make a fresh strawberry chiffon... More

This is a delightful restaurant, even more unusual because it is in a small country town in the wasteland of the DFW restaurant scene. In a modest building, the restaurant is actually quite large, with spacious rooms classically decorated with good art, white tablecloths, and flowers. The staff is impeccably trained. The food is gourmet, with reasonable prices and a... More

Dined at Classic many times in the past 10 years. It's the place we take business guests and friends. Never had a less than excellent meal and Chef Charles is a master of his trade. Specials are always creative and fabulous. Intimate dining with fabulous service.

I'm so glad I finally made it to Classic Cafe. We took my mother in law and her boyfriend here on a Saturday night. Make reservations! We started with the house smoked salmon and the shrimp and okra fritter. Oooooo the salmon!!! Get it!!! Last time I remember smoked salmon that good was in Alaska and Seattle. The fritter was... Have not been to the Classic Café/ The Classic at Roanoke for over a year, the food is still something to look forward to and the service is SUPER. They have trimmed down the portion size for the same price, I am sure that today’s food cost has a lot to do with is step. The Classic is one of... More

Classic gets 5 stars for their charming and professional greeters, seaters, managers, and servers. Love their belief in proper service, serving etiquette, and the elegant look of cloth tablecloths. For example, at many chain restaurants, servers try to speed diners along so they hover and keep removing plates as individuals finish, leaving the slower eaters to feel self conscious and... More
