Have you ever told your family what you’d do different if you opened a restaurant?  Well, that’s exactly why we opened Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.

Always the best fried chicken! I'm not as crazy about the chicken fried steak. Meal is served family style - wing, leg, thigh, breast for each chicken order (no other choice on number of pieces or white vs dark) and all orders for the table are piled high on one platter. Unlimited mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn and salad with... More

Down home cooking at its best..this place is simple and delicious. the chicken fried steak is a must and the creamed corn is worth a second helping. Now I know why every one is always waiting to get in.

Granny move over! First, the portions are humongous...4pc chicken, mashed taters, corn, biscuits, yea. Chicken pieces are large and crispy. REAL POTATOES are mashed with lumps like the real thing should have. Corn is homestyle. I swear I tasted lard inn the biscuits but the folks told me it was buttermilk. OH MY, I'm in heaven. This place is the... More

The best chicken and chicken fried steaks ever. My kids loved the mashed potatoes and gravy. The biscuits are very good too. Always a wait for a table but worth it.

Great food! We prefer to avoid the crowd and order takeout but either way, it's great! The mashed potatoes and creamed corn are also excellent.

To start off, here are some tips: 1 - The restaurant does not stay open late (after 10pm) so make sure you check the time before going there. There's usually a long wait so be prepared for that. Large groups/family are welcomed here, but they won't seat you until everyone in the party is there! 2 - BYOB - this... More

Be aware this is not a low calorie event. Even the salad dressing is laced with sugar as well as the chicken batter. That said, I love this place and their food. Very tasty, and fun. Not for stuffy people and it will be a little loud, but you will want to go back, unless of course you are a... More

Family members brought us to Babe's in Roanoke, TX for dinner last Saturday night as we came in from Louisiana to visit. Basically all I knew is they had fried chicken/chicken fried steak and limited sides served family style. When we arrived at 5:30pm there was an hour wait that turned into almost an hour and a half wait. I... More
