Have you ever told your family what you’d do different if you opened a restaurant?  Well, that’s exactly why we opened Babe’s Chicken Dinner House. We wanted a sit-down restaurant where people really feel at home. Where your neighbors wait on you and your whole family.

A friend took us for a Babe dinning experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was oozing with atmosphere and the que out the front was testament to its popularity. Every hour staff line the centre of the restaurant and entertain patrons with line dancing. The menu is limited but specialised and yummy!

They only have two choices, fried chicken or chicken fried steak and the sides are all you can eat! Creamed corn, a simple salad with a lightly sweet oil and vinegar dressing, biscuits and the most tasty mashed potatoes and gravey you have ever eaten! My family loves the potatoes and gravey so much that when I get a to-go... More

There were 4 of us, It was Monday night so there was no wait. We had fried chicken, mash potatoes, gravy, corn, biscuits and salad. The menu consisted of the items above and fried chicken or chicken fried steak. The sides are all endless and the chicken is way more than we could eat. All food and service was very... More

Limited menu but what they serve is good. I can only eat so much fried chicken so I limit my visits. Nice staff. Rustic old town atmosphere.

We spent the night in a hotel not far from this restaurant and stumbled upon it in a quaint little area of Roanoke. What a treat. The restaurant was packed at 8 p.m. and closes at 9 p.m. We loved the family style fried chicken and chicken fried steak with their signature bottomless sides. We will make a point to... More

Love going to Babe's! Always so good. This location is in cute downtown Roanoke - lots of good restaurants and cute shopping. You select your meat - fried chicken or chicken fried steak. This location has less options than some of the others and is smaller, but just as good. The sides come out family style - corn, salad, mashed... More

Quick in and out meal with family style side dishes. BYOB if you wish. A classic among locals for fried chicken.

Tried Babe's for the first time with my husband last night. Short wait for a table and nice waitress. Chicken and biscuits were great but potatoes and corn were nothing to brag about. Quirky atmosphere from signs on the walls to the hallway to the restroom. Waitstaff doing the Hokey Pokey was cute too. Only big turnoff was how dark... More

This place is family style food, served in big bowls and platters and the amount you get is based on the number of people and whether you choose chicken or chicken fried steak. No chicken strips here, kids get drumsticks so if your kid won't eat chicken on the bone then you're stuffed. You get an iceberg lettuce salad, biscuits,... More
