We have eaten twice for lunch and Jeng Chi, and it is fabulous. Dumplings are amazing and varied. At the most recent visit we had a soup dumpling that was hot, juicy, and fresh. Wonton in spicy chili sauce was perfect - delicate and mildly spicy, in a rich, fruity soy infused sauce that was not overwhelmingly hot. Green onion... More

We go to this Asian Mecca for groceries and great restaurants. The Tian Tian Mall has several Asian eateries, and a grocery store. The hardest part is deciding where to eat, as all of them are good. Jeng Chi is the real deal, not Americanized Chinese food. The quality is excellent, portions are great. The dumplings are some of the... More

I dropped in to Tien Tien strip mall to try something new. I have been to most of the places and always a great meal. First, Vega my waitress was very helpful and led me through my first visit. Green Onion pancake:) crispy and not too oily. Xiaolongbao- very good and Vega taught me the vinegar and ginger dip to... More

We had the steamed dumplings, onion pancake, vegetables, noodles, everything tasted great. We had a great time, we were fortunate that we did not have to wait.

When I moved to Dallas in 2001, I mourned the lack of good Chinese food. Unfortunately, it took me 9 years or so to finally find Jeng Chi, in Richardson's Chinatown area. I love their scallion pancake and string beans with ground pork. But the showstopper is the xiao long bao (small juicy dumplings). Order a bunch, let them cool... More

The first 2 minutes already seemed troublesome. The front desk did not greet us as if we were just shopping. Only after we asked for a table did the waitress told us to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. After we were seated, we found the menu rather bland and boring. Nevertheless we ordered one tofu dish, one noodle... More

I was first introduced to Jeng Chi 10 years ago by a coworker. The restaurant is our go to spot for dumplings. Recently they moved to a new location in the same shopping center. I took my family and we had a short wait on a Saturday evening to get 10 of us seated. The hostess was very nice and... More

This restaurant moved just a few doors down, now definitively one of the anchor merchants of the Richardson Chinatown in what I guesstimate to be 3x the space as the old location. Now it's really beautiful and spacious, with even a view of the kitchen and the cooks making those delicious steamed dumplings (their specialty!). They have nice new tables... More

Four of us went last night to this Jeng Chi for the first time and all were totally impressed with the food, especially the choices of the dumplings. Service was good, food served hot and in sequence. The hot and sour soup lacked spiciness. The combination fried rice was one of the best that I have ever had. BYOB for... More
