Good Lunch Place

I went there over lunch and had the buffet. The line was pretty long but it moved quickly. There was a good variety of food and everything looked fresh. The staff did a good job of keeping things refilled. You can also pay for your buffet after you eat which I thought was nice. They are building a... read more

We were surprisingly satisfied with the authentic tasting Middle Eastern food offered at Afrah. Eating here was the next best thing to being in Beirut or Amman. Desserts were tasty as well as the Turkish coffee.

We arrived at this place driven by friends who swore the food was excellent. It's not a lot to look at from the outside and it looks as though they are building an entirely new restaurant next door, presumably following their success after the appearance on Drivers, Diners and Dives. The owners clearly haven't wanted to spend anything on the... More

I thought my co workers were nuts when they recommended we go to a lunch buffet. Who goes to a buffet outside of Las Vegas? I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The food was good, fresh, and diverse. The bread was great with the hummus. The staff was friendly- and the place was crowded.

Wow, the lunch time buffet is fabulous! Lots of different types of grilled meat (chicken, lamb, beef, and grilled fish) the hummus was fresh and made there! So are the Pita's. There are many Lebanese specialities, and lots of vegetarian dishes. The selection was marvelous and a perfect introduction for a person that is new to this type of food.... More

This was our first visit to Afrah, and we were pleasantly surprised! To start, our waiter, Waleed, was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We had the hummus with ground beef, pine nuts and olive oil - this was THE BEST hummus I've had at any restaurant - period. The pita bread that was served with it was light and airy.... More

Some of the best hummus I have ever had! And I am picky about my hummus. The warm bread and hummus - heaven. It was an experience watching other guests smoke their hookahs while we all ate on the patio. Had the gyro plate. The walnut baklava was just right -not too sweet and just the right amount.

Wasn't sure what to expect, I'm not from Dallas but love me a shawarma. The parking lot was a mess since they're building a new Afrah next door. Sunday late afternoon it was pretty quiet but lots of families were there. I grabbed a table inside, I think I was actually supposed to order at the counter. A waiter brought... More

Afrah is an icon of Middle Eastern Food. The current location is a little on the "worn" side which I love of course. However, they are building a new restaurant next door that is upscale and to die for! I can't wait to visit my friends in Dallas again to dine in their new facility. The service was great. The... Dallas and Richardson are a wild jungle when it comes to Mediterranean restaurants. Afrah has survived the test of time and has maintained its popularity amongst the many new restaurants that opened over the past 10 years. It's a testament to the simple yet authentic Mediterranean dishes that are served with passion and quality.
