Agreed - one does not go to a veg Indian restaurant for a romantic dinner or for the ambiance. But for the great food that this place serves, a facelift would do wonders. Been there a few times now and each time the food has been outstanding. I've tried the pongal, Mysore dosa, utappam, thali and masala dosa - no... More

We have been frequenting this restaurant every chance we get on our visits to the Dallas area. The food is prepared fresh and it is not oily unlike many other Indian restaurants in the Dallas area. The two gentlemen that manage (own?) the place are friendly and very welcoming. The staff is very friendly as well. We have tried their... More

The offerings were: 2 soups, 4 appetizers, 12 hot dishes, 2 desserts, and bread. Excellent authentic South Indian sauces and a nice variety of vegetables. One of the best places I have visited, and all vegetarian. The cost is only $8.00.

My husband and I ate here two times in 4 days, it was that good! We went in on a Thursday night and started with the free soup, tomato. It was hot, both in temperature and spice level, but SO good! I ordered the mutter paneer and my husband had the fresh mushroom masala. Both were excellent, the masala was... More

The quality here seesaws like a giant pendulum on steroids. We went here a couple of months ago, couldn't get enough of it. This time, couldn't get enough of it...TUMS. The quality has seriously deteriorated. There are NO south indian items on the buffet except for idlys and stale wada. Service is slow. The complimentary dosa, is all complementary and... More

This one really stands for its name UDIPI - unlike others who embrace the word - just to attract customers. The ambience was good. We had the wonderful privilege to experience the real taste of South Indian food. It was perfect and filling. Personally, the taste took me back to my childhood memories – food placed on my right hand... More

We have eaten at this location once and have ordered take out from here many many times. We always get the masala dosa, which is a crispy indian crepe stuffed with a scrumptious spiced mashed potato and onions. It is served with sambar (which is like a vegetable soup that you use to dip the masala dosa in) and coconut... More
