Food is good but expect to wait

Try to go to Pappadeaux at an odd time if you want to avoid a long wait. The Cajan and seafood options are great. The gumbo is a good way to start. The pastas with shrimp are always very good as well as any of the fish dishes. This restaurant has never disappointed me. The only drawback in coming... read more

Show up early or expect a long wait. The food is good, but I would not say outstanding. A little on the pricey side. Slow service seems to be the standard. Noisy atmosphere. Been there several times due to others suggestion.

Found this restaurant while on business trip to Dallas. Great service with a touch of New Orleans spice and spunk. Meals are prepared as described on the menu and the drink specials are very good. Special Note: Right next door is their other restaurant called Pappasitos Cantina for some great tex/mex and mexican food. Make sure to get the Margarita...... More

This restaurant just keeps getting better. I have enjoyed eating at this restaurant for over 20 years. Ever time I go it is just as good as the last time. Great atmosphere, pleasant staff, food is delicious. Try this restaurant or it's sister restaurant next door, you won't be disappointed.

I called to make a reservation for our family birthday celebration. I told the girl on the phone that my husband was going to be 65, my Dad. 89, and my niece, 22. When we arrived, the waiter asked for our drink orders...my niece, even though she was with her parents, grandparents, and her aunt, uncle, and cousin, was refused... More

Pappadeaux is as good as Cajun seafood in North Dallas gets. It's fresh, well prepared and attractively presented. You can show up in coat and tie or appear in casual attire. Either way, you can expect good service and enough food to send you into an after dinner coma. The offerings can be a bit spicy for those with bland... More

We were not expecting a chain to be this wonderful, but it blew us away. All their fish is flown in daily, and it tastes like it. That means later diners may find a selection sold out, but's the mark of authentically fresh vs. quickly thawed out from the freezer. Cannot remember a friendlier more gracious Texas born and raised... More

I like Pappadeaux don't get me wrong. The food is okay and they give you a lot of it. My husband and I can usually share a plate. Sitting at the bar is the most fun. The bartenders are funny and keep it lively. The drinks and desserts are very good!

Three words: Pasta Mardi Gras- absolutely fantastic dish. A coworker recommended this dish- and I wind up ordering it every time. They make everything on premises- including the bread and pasta. The service is fast for lunch- which is appreciated. If you go once, you will be hooked.
