I know this place is popular, but when I spend $26 for a piece of fish and two dinky and ordinary sides, no salad, no bread, I get ticked off as this is not a high-end restaurant. Plus, they did not indicate that the fish was fried and indeed it was.

It's an odd place. The rooms are huge, a magician stops at your table, Dale the owner never misses a guest. You just don't know what to make of the place. You leave happy though after very good food and huge plates. The quails are fabulous and the ribs and steaks are not only great but BIG. Don't worry about... More

Texas is a great place for an company or family event. The patio with a fire place is really nice. The appetizers were great. The onion rings here are always ordered when we go here. The flat breads are easy to share and have plenty for everyone. We have had numerous company events at Texas and Dale always stops by... More

Wait staff was disconnected - we had four different servers and they did not communicate very well. One had a very thick Hispanic accent that we difficulty understanding. My wife got the wrong salad, they also butterflied her steak ( I guess to expedite cooking time ) and it was well done and chewy. It was very crowded and we... More

We went to Texas on the spur of the moment and found a top notch restaurant for one that allows walk-ins. The ambiance was striking from the beginning. The service was top quality with lots of staff who were attentive without being intrusive. Our server was ultra polite and informative. The food was excellent and the portions were large. To... Family get together. Good drinks. Food was very good but the steak was a bit too salty. Waitress was super in handling the number of people in our group. Liked the magician. The manager did a professional job in helping divvy up the bill between too many credit cards. Would not subject him to that again. Would go back again!

We were recently in the area visiting family and able to have a date night. I read the reviews and knew we had a 50/50 chance of having a great experience or an average one. The restaurant was close to where we were staying and also easy to get to off the highway so we decided to try it. I... More

Went here for good ole Texas ribs and was not disappointed. Atmosphere is great. Our server, Ryan, was attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging. Half order ribs were meaty and flavorful. Molasses beans were delicious. I ordered the cole slaw but found it not to my liking. Will order a different side next time. Price is high, but one would expect to... More
