If you like small, friendly Mexican cafes, you will like El Patio. And the food was very good and very well priced.

If you're not Mexican or look white don't go here. They won't give you chips much less serve you food. Beware.

If you don't mind being treated with disrespect go to this place. Literally, we placed our order while others came in after us and were served with chips and drinks. We waited 30 minutes and ended up walking out. This was the worst experience we have ever encountered.

May 4th we did a long, near all day trip through Big Bend National Park... Took 170 from Study Butte to Presidio and had to find a place to eat... Thus our first visit to El Patio. The first clue to our waiting culinary adventure was the salsa... The bite was perfect... Warm enough to know it was real... But... More

After traveling Big Bend National Park and traveling along the Rio Grande for over fifty mile this was a wonderful stop for dinner. The food was very good as was the service with friendly customer service and a rest before heading north.

Service is pretty good here. Menu has a fairly wide choice but the salad bar was wilted and tired looking. Food was ok, not great but adequate. Got the feeling that they're not big on the hospitality business but may prefer local business to tourists.

Had lunch here and felt the service was excellent, the restaurant was quite clean, but the food was a bit plain and bland for someone used to "Americanized" Mexican food. This is genuine Mexican food, so it may not be as spicy and varied as you are accustomed to eating. There aren't a lot of places to eat in Presidio... More

Today we stopped there for lunch, 5 of us. I had the flautas, there were over done, crispy, with dried out chicken, I have eaten there several times over the past few years. Its always a hit or a miss, food is either wonderful or passable, today will be my last visit....

Genuine local Tex-Mex along the Mexican-Texas border at the end of the scenic drive between Presidio and Terlingua. Typical TexMex style decor - including murals of Don Quijote and Dutch Windmills on painted hills behind a full-size Santa. Food was standard Tex-Mex mix-up (not the best but good) - freshly prepared. Salsa was excellent. Presidio is a normal West Texas... More

We were passing through on our way to Big Bend national park. We asked a local resident who suggested this place. Very helpful and friendly staff. Salsa was very good. Food was not what I expected. I was expecting more authentic Mexican food. My chicken enchiladas were covered with a green sauce that had mushroom soup in it. Was not... More
