The food is good, their gordita's are awesome, I usually always get them. The manager needs a new profession, she should not be in that position, but I guess if your related to the owner I guess you can.. The decor is dreary and really needs updated. The service is OK, my favorite waitress is Cheyenne..

We are used to the Mexican food found in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. With that being said, Chapa's was not bad for a small town. The food was hot and the service was good.

I went here on a Tuesday early evening, about 5 pm. The restaurant had only one other party in the place. Quick service, served hot, tasty. Very reasonable.

Sunday after church, after waiting 10 minutes to be seated (all the while being ignored by the staff), took a menu and seated ourselves. After being ignored another 10-15 minutes by the waiter who was taking care of the area, we walked out and went to George's. Honestly, the food here is not bad, but the service is literally non-existent,... More

We were passing thru Post and hungry. Chapa's is by the highway so we decided to try it. DO NOT get the chicken fried steak. But even the Mexican steak was not good. It wasn't terrible and the place was clean with nice staff. The food was tolerable but not remarkable. We will drive a little farther next time.

Waiter said we could have one or two enchiladas. I said Menu says an order is THREE. If you want FULL PLATE, choose how many you want! He said. We chose TWO....they charged FULL PRICE. When questioned? That is the way we do it! Want to add a tip? No, I replied " It was obviously more important to the... More

The restaurant was empty except for two other tables, as the ten of us from Lubbock, for a Post funeral, dined. We were seated at three long connected tables. Two of the tables received chips, so we requested one more basket for the far end table. After 15 minutes, we still had not been brought the chips, any silverware, any... More

So-so mexican food meal but the sopapillas were fabulous! If traveling through Post TX you should stop for dessert here, but skip the meal. Service was very good, though.

Chapa's provides the small town of Post with a nice place to eat. The food is nothing out of the ordinary, but it is sure to please if you are looking for average Mexican food.
