Not good food! Save money and go somewhere else. Spent $30 for 3 meals that were not any better than a tv dinner.

The quality and quantity of food make this restaurant very much in demand however it is not a romantic setting but more of an everyday use venue with good staff (very friendly) and food.

OK, its a dive. Small, smells like the smoking section of every diner you remember from years back. But, the people were great, the food was plentiful and good and the atmosphere is pure "truck stop" chic! My wife and I had lunch here because we were driving through on our way to New Mexico and noticed all the pickup... More

I was driving back to Colorado and was a wreck after driving nearly an hour in foggy weather and needed a break. I stopped here after passing the McDonalds down the highway and seeing two van loads of kids crammed into their lobby. I doubled back to Georges. Seat yourself, and a not particularly friendly server shows up with the... More

My husband and I were driving through the tiny town of post and stopped at George's for dinner, even though it got pretty bad reviews. It is a dive obviously owned owned by Greeks. There are Greek touches everywhere, which adds to the funkiness of the place. I normally would have docked them at least a star if not more... More

I would never eat here again because they allow smoking! I must have gone back to the 60's! I went into this place and who would have though they allowed smoking? They have a non smoking section, but it is like someone peeing at one bend of the swimming pool! I would not have gone there if I had known... More

We stopped for dinner during a long drive across Texas. We had a variety of food (catfish, pancakes, chicken fried steak and enchiladas - 4 people, long day in car?!) and everything was very good. Only downside is that smoking is allowed, so you may want to check out nearby diners when you pick your seat. Service was quick and... More

We have stopped here many times in our travels across the Texas panhandle. The food here is basic but good. Nothing fancy in Post and this restaurant is no exception. This is oil and cattle country and the locals just want good food and George's does deliver. The salads are fresh and tasty and my wife generally chooses one of... More

Walk in and sit where you want. Always check the white board above checkout counter for the "daily special". The staff sometimes are a hit or miss. I've gone in many times and sometimes I get a bad waitress. Food is cooked in a decent time, remember it's not a 'fast food restaurant'. A good selection of food, however I... More

We had been driving for 10 hours through the night when we found the diner. The breakfast was great, super friendly and attentive service! We had omelets, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. This is a local hangout at 6aM and were pleased with how welcoming and friendly everyone was. I would recommend this home cooked diner for breakfast :)
