George's Restaurant is one of the few locally owned restaurants in town and appears to be very popular with the local residents. The booths are well-worn, with scratched table tops and tears in the bench upholstery, but there are many tables in the middle of the room. Service was friendly, but slow... read more

Went in and got stared down by all the locals , made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. After seating myself as the 'fancy' sign noted , my family waited 10 min to not even get a drink offered

This restaurant turned us around dead in our tracks the minute we stepped through the door. The smoking section is right up front. How ridiculous is that?! So gross. We did order nachos from the Drive Up window, and while they were okay, they forgot to put the ground beef on my order. So, with all of that being said... More

We generally like local, hole in the wall, family, out of the way...but not this one. Should have left when I couldn't even get into the ladies room to wash my hands. Over the course of my meal I tried 4 times. Three other female dinners tried and could not get into the restroom. "Special" was steak fingers. Yeah Dairy... More

This appears to be a family owned local restaurant. Nice variety and very good prices. Food is good and quantity large. Note: Do not take Credit Cards.

As soon as you enter, the smell of cigarette smoke is the first thing you notice. The smoking section is in the front of the restaurant and the "non-smoking" room is in the back, forcing you to walk through the smoke. We decided to get take out, since everything else in the town was closed. The food was decent, but... More

Not a lot of choice when it comes to non-chain eating places in Post. Thankfully, George’s is there, and within walking distance of Main Street. The sign outside says “Truckers Welcome”, and although I’m not a trucker, I felt welcome as soon as I entered this restaurant. The place has a real “local” feel about it, almost to the point... Not good food! Save money and go somewhere else. Spent $30 for 3 meals that were not any better than a tv dinner.

The quality and quantity of food make this restaurant very much in demand however it is not a romantic setting but more of an everyday use venue with good staff (very friendly) and food.

OK, its a dive. Small, smells like the smoking section of every diner you remember from years back. But, the people were great, the food was plentiful and good and the atmosphere is pure "truck stop" chic! My wife and I had lunch here because we were driving through on our way to New Mexico and noticed all the pickup... More
