great local

This is an unassuming looking place but great local spot. I don't think you can find better value than here and when Steve is their it is entertaining.

I had the fish plate, my husband had a bowl of veg soup (billed at $6.75). I saw a round heavily breaded thing on my plate and when I took my fork to it, it chipped apart....turned out to be a clam shell with a little stuffing inside (why would you bread a shell?). Soup had few veggies in a... More

Looking for a no non-sense, no frills place to have an old fashioned hamburger or some fried seafood? This place screams old Port Isabel as a tiny restaurant that can get packed with locals and tourists alike. Nothing wrong with the fried shrimp and fish here. They know what they are doing in the kitchen and the appreciative customers show... More

Today was our first time at Fisherman's and won't be the last. My husband had the fish special and said it was some of the best he's had. I had the hamburger steak meal special which was delicious. There is a great variety of food choices, something for everyone and we are anxious to try other dishes. Everything is made... More

If quantity is important, this will be a good fit for you. I just didn't think anything was better than average except my waitress who was very nice.

This is a real homey little restaurant and many times you have to wait outside as they are so busy. Everything is homemade and so delicious. They have a special chicken-pot-pie on Wednesdays which you have to order ahead. Nice family that runs the restaurant. Food is always so good -- and well worth the wait!

We go here for breakfast a lot. No matter if this is your first time or 100th time, you will be treated like family. Sit back and have a cup of coffee and some breakfast, don't forget to order the Cinnamon roll (to die for!).

We were looking for a place for a quick lunch and chose Fisherman's based on online reviews. It's a hole-in-the-wall family place and easy to miss but worth finding. Husband had fried fish and he said it was very good. Kids had grilled cheese and chicken nuggets which were fine. I had the chicken fried chicken, which was pounded flat... More
