You can't beat this place for home cooking and big portions. Pancakes the size of the plate. Try the Texas troller. You be needing nap after this one. We went Sunday morning had the special, ham and cheese omlette with hash browns and a biscuit, just short of $4.50. They also make unbelievable cakes- triple chocolate was awesome, also had... More

Never had a bad meal here. Owner Steve is a doll. The place gets a little noisy and sometimes there's a wait for your food, but worth it. Not fancy but still one of the better restaurants in Port Isabel. Keep up the good work!

Always have good food and they have wonderful baked goods to take home with you. Have to stop on a weekend to see Steve balance 6 plates on his arm when serving food.

Excellent homemade pastries! I keep coming back for more. Tried the Bavarian creams, coconut cream/meringue pies, and banana spit pie, and can't wait to try the chocolate cake. Also, would like to try their famous chicken pot pie on Thursdays.

Love this place. Looks nothing from outside but the food is the best we have had. All home cooked and plenty of it. Excellent service and great people. Just cant find another place to beat it. The price is great value. So enjoyable to eat there.

Had some of the best fried seafood and very reasonable. Fried oysters and shrimp were large. They make their own tartar sauce, which is not the traditional, but delicious. The toasted bread is homemade as are all the delicious desserts. Only open for breakfast and lunch most days except Friday and Saturday, when they stay open through dinner. Also, very... More

Breakfast specials for $3.99. Oh yeah, my kinda place! Unassuming little hole-in-the-wall in Port Isabel right on the main road with friendly service and good coffee. Haven't eaten here for other meals but it has daily specials on the board that sounded really good and definitely cheaper than restaurants on the Island. It's become a favorite of ours.

This little Mom & Pop & Son restaurant is truly super. Homemade foods and great Mexican fare. Worth every minute just for the entertainment by the server, their son!!

We went here for breakfast and it was excellent! They'll cook up anything you want and it feels like home, tastes homemade, and the people are very friendly. Best of all you can celebrate any occasion by ordering up something delicious from their bakery. I ordered banana bread for my husband, bought 2, and when we got home he said,... More

The building is nothing special but that doesn't matter to me. The food was top notch, big bang for the buck and the service was great too.
