Great Breakfast-won't break the bank

We ate here on Sat morning. Arrived early b/c we read the place fills up fast & it did. My husband had bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns while I opted for the strawberry/whipped cream covered waffle. we enjoy Fisherman's so much we had the whole family from out of town go with us to this great family restaurant. The food is excellent though mom had some well earned time off so no rolls and extras available. Steve however provided great service and entertainment and joined us in singing happy birthday. Thanks to everyone there who joined... More

We purchased a coconut cream and banana split personal pan pies for my husband's birthday. He was in pie heaven!

This place is truly an adventure! I love everything on the menu! But the yummy cinnamon buns, pancakes, apple cobblers, and and chocolate cake are truly amazing! It is a business run by a family and the mom does all the cooking. There can be a wait so be prepared for that especially on the weekends. Sometimes they run out... More

Don't let the small blue building fool you. Step inside for reasonable omlettes and home baked goods. This is a mother and son operation. Steve entertains by balancing four cups of coffee in one hand and has you smiling before your order is even taken. One table is covered with mom's creations: cinnamon rolls, loaves of bread, coconut cream pies,... More

Like eating at moms but better. Baked goods can not be beat. After your good home cooked meal make sure you leave room for the best desserts!

This is a small local restaurant right on the main street through Port Isabel. We stopped for lunch and had no problem getting a seat. The waitress was cordial and prompt. We ordered the chicken fried chicken. I was expecting something meatier. It was a very thin piece of chicken that lacked any flavor other than deep fried flavor. In... More

We had grilled haddock and the world famous chicken pot pie for lunch. Both were excellent and without a doubt one of the best lunches we have ever had. Everything was perfect! Steve is the greatest, too, with his easy-going, friendly manner. Highly recommended.

Delicious homemade food. Chicken pot pies, chicken and dumplings, Thanksgiving dinner, burgers, fish, meatloaf, banana split pie - we have tried it all. Lunches come with a little salad and dessert. Not sure why the dinners don't but you are usually so stuffed it doesn't make a difference. Steven, the server is entertaining. A tidbit about this place, On Thanksgiving,... More
