Fun for the kids

Friendly staff fun atmosphere for the kids. We had a nice table next to the window you can see the water and the pier. The food was good. Big portions. My son got a child's cheeseburger and fries and it was huge he could have shared it with my daughter. I got the fish tacos they were... read more

We have been in South Padre for 3 days and eaten out a few times. We were disappointed with the price, quality of service, and food everywhere we went UNTIL we went to Pirate's Landing. This place was the perfect place to eat after our fabulous pirate cruise. It fit with the theme of our day, and almost everything about... More

Wow! Our waitress, Mary Lou, was just wonderful, and she recommended the gumbo! Was this ever a hit. It was the best gumbo I've ever eaten! My friend got blackened fish and shrimp, and she said it all was delicious. We love the Pirate's Landing Restaurant. The setting is beautiful, and all the staff are so nice and gracious. We... More

I recommend the fish and shrimp platter which costs $15.00. (always take some home because I cannot finish the whole plate) Hot honey biscuits are served before your food is brought to your table. The service is quick and friendly. The manager usually will visit at your table to make sure that all is ok with the order and service.... More

We went to Pirates's Landing during our recent trip to SPI. The food was good, and our server was even better. The kitchen sent out a wrong side, and our waiter(wish I could remember his name) jumped into action to correct the minor error. He was attentive and gave us a great experience.

Stopped for lunch. Fast friendly service. Lunch specials decent. $8 for a huge cheeseburger on a homemade bun. Greasy hot waffle fries!! $11 full French Dip sandwich with choice of side. Looks kid friendly. As with most local restaurants it's very old and worn.

Great restaurant for kids; kitschy atmosphere; very touristy; can get a decent meal. The veracruz-style fish was good. It's overpriced but it's for tourists so this was not unexpected. Be prepared for very large groups of diners.

The soda was very fussy, which is great. The honey butter biscuits were good. We ordered hush puppies and they were blended shrimp, very tasty. My shrimp and beef fajitas came with rice and beans and sides of sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I didn't get to the rice, the portions are huge!

Pirates Landing is a great place for lunch or dinner. The view of the Bay and the Causeway leading to South Padre is really great. The menu is sure to please everyone. We each had different special. I had the steak and lobster. I am never disappointed in the way it is cooked and presented. My husband had the pork... More
