I ate there with co workers who wanted to eat there. The food was just okay. The wait staff was very friendly and professional. The food came out hot and was edible. Not sure if I would return again or not.

Food was ok, nothing to write home about, a little pricy I thought. And who ever heard of offering Biscuits for breakfast with no gravy. Had to buy a tablespoon of gravy for 2.00 ( they called it a side). Service was fair seated quickly and food came fast, but had to ask for more coffee.

The regular breakfast - eggs, biscuits, bacon and hashbrowns. It was good, as the biscuits were homemade and the hashbrowns were fresh. The pancakes were enormous! One pancake will feed two people easily. The coffee was okay, but if you like bold coffee you will be disappointed. The food came quickly, but be patient if you want refills on your... More

This place is your typical small mom and pop cafe with short order cook specialties. Coffee was the best in town! The food was very good! Eggs, bacon and potatoes all pretty typical. Their biscuits are HUGE and so are the pancakes! The grits were wonderful. Service was a tad slow getting things like a water refill or hot sauce,... More

This café is the best place in Port A (in my opinion) for good quality, fast, hot basic food. The same wait staff are there year in and year out and they have efficiency down. Yes there are days when they are busier than others and meals may be a little slower, but the afore mentioned qualities make up for... More

EXCELLENT fish and chips - prices are great! Locals eat here so you know its good. Staff is friendly. The best place to eat breakfast on the island - they have gravy and biscuits on the menu. Where do you find that anymore?

First time to try this place and it turned out pretty well. We were there for breakfast early one morning during our vacation. I got scrambled eggs, ham, hash browns, and white toast. Mine was all cooked just fine. The wife ordered over medium, grits and bacon with wheat toast. Her eggs were slightly over cooked but she still liked them just less yolk... More

My local friend told me to try the fried oysters here and he was right they are huge and delicious. I also have had a traditonal country breakfast here and it was awesome. The servers are prompt and courteous as well

We own property in Port Aransas and visit the area every year for several weeks. We always visit Island Cafe and order their fish and chips. It is not a fancy place but if you want good home cooking at a reasonable price do your self a favor and go to Island Cafe. It has been open for as long... More

Clean pleasant atmosphere. Salads & seafood were fresh. The food was good. Cannot say enough about the excellent service here.
