After 45 minutes and no food we threatened to leave. But we left with food in styrofoam because we had to pay $40 and couldn't stomach the place. Latecomers left and right were halfway through their meals. Lunchtime on a Saturday, but there were still plenty of empty tables, so go figure. Should have left after examining the pedestrian menu,... More

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here this morning. It took about five minutes for the server to even acknowledge that we were sitting there and when she did she quickly placed menus in front of us and said that she'd be right back. No "what can I start you off to drink with?" Or any of that business. She... More

When we are in Port Aransas, we usually eat breakfast at this café. Great home cooking. Omelets and eggs are done right and they have sourdough bread! There breakfast is usually good and inexpensive. Have not eaten any other meal there.

Stopped for some pie and coffee in the afternoon. I had coffee and peach pie and the wife had hot tea and bread pudding. It was good. I thought my coffee was cold so the waitress quick as a wink made a pot. That was hot. It is a nice place, a mom and pop type. I guess the locals... More

Our first visit was for lunch and the fish and chips were fantastic, large portions of fish and perfectly cooked. Our second visit was for breakfast, and the breakfast was just average, I had the eggs over easy, hashbrowns, sausage and toast, my wife an omlette. Service was just OK with the waitresses spending a lot time sitting at the... More

Port Aransas does not have very many places that serve breakfast so we were happy to find a non-fast food place. The breakfast menu had all of the basics with some Tex- Mex choices. The eggs, hash browns, and toast were very good. However, the meats (beef steak & bacon) did not have a very good flavor. The bacon was... More

My fiancé and I met friends & family in Port A for the Thanksgiving holiday. I was worn out from cooking and a tasty breakfast sounded just about perfect. The Man had a traditional American breakfast, I had the huevos rancheros, and my future mother-in-law opted for the shrimp omelette...they were are three delicious! The service was a little off,... Was one of the few places open on a very cold afternoon. Had the chopped steak and fish & chips. The service was friendly though not attentive. Chopped steak with pea and baked potato was OK. Came with salad that was mostly lettuce and croutons. Fish & chips tasted like off the shelf. Would probably not return.

Nice cozy place where a lot of the locals seem to come. Reasonably priced breakfast served by friendly staff. Portion sizes good. Had the ham steak breakfast and would recommend it.

Our family had lunch here on a weekend afternoon. The waitress was friendly, and everyone found something they liked - club sandwich, chicken fingers, burgers...all priced very reasonably. They have added a children's menu, but our kids ordered from the adult menu and were very pleased with the sandwich and chicken. We were there at an off-time, so maybe we... More
