Description: Irie's Island Food is an extra casual, very small restaurant serving lunch only. Hours of operation are seasonal in this vacation town. We feature fresh handmade food prepared by the chef/owner who is a graduate of the Culinary institute of America. Creative tacos on house made tortillas, Hawaiian, Asian, American/tropical, and international cuisine is offered at our establishment. We also make New Orleans style beignets from scratch, roast our own coffee, and even have creme brulee to go!

This place is so good, I had lunch there two days in a row. Amazing food. Had tacos 1st day, then the shrimp plate the next day; both fantastic.

This restaurant had odd hours when we were in Port A, but it's worth the wait! The dragon sauces are amazing! We had four different tacos and they were ALL mouthwatering! Can't recommend this place enough.

Looking for some light lunch, and Irie's was our first choice. Some reviews addressed limited seating or running out of specific dishes, but we had no trouble. Of course, visiting the coast in November pretty much eliminates vacationing college students and means there is more room(and food) for us old folks. The curried coconut shrimp and panko-crusted fish tacos were... More

This restaurant came well recommended, but did not live up to expectations. The decoration is funky and charming, but the food was only funky. There were three in our party and two were disappointed with their selections. The tacos were homemade and tasty, but not the grouper or the Asian beef dish. Because the restaurant was out of oysters (go... More

Due to the highly rated reviews, my wife and I just had to try this place. We got there right at 11:00 and was the first to order. We each had the Crazy Taco and the Curried Coconutt Shrimp Taco. They are very large and are made with a home-made flour tortilla. The crazy taco was an interesting mix of... More

Though we have been coming to Port A for years, this was our first year to try Irie's. What a treat! They are only open 11-2 Tues.-Sat. and have a tiny dining area but there are picnic tables outside and you can get it to go. On an island, you expect good fresh seafood and theirs exceeds the expectations. All... More

Got there around 1115, walked right in and ordered. Wife and I both got the taco daily special (fried red snapper) and I got a second crazy taco and my wife got a second coconut shrimp taco. These tacos were huge and delicious!!! Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Definitely will be one of my favorite go to's on the island.... More

We loved the food in this little and friendly place. It was delicious and very cheap. We order to go and they even offer a snack to entertain my toddler. Great food and amazing service and people.

What I love and remember about growing up and vacationing in Port A. Fresh, fresh, fresh fish! Port A is on the coast and fresh fish is abundant. Forget the frozen stuff that some places are serving. The tortillas are homemade and the tacos are delicious. Daily special tacos are always yummy. Appears to be family owned and they take... More
