I ordered a fried fish sandwich. It came open-faced, so I ate one piece alone. Then made a sandwich with the other piece of fish. Whatever they did to the bun sure made the sandwich. Quite tasty!

A group of us spent a weekend in Port Aransas at the end of June. We arrived in town with just enough time to check i nto our hotel and then find a place to eat. Since we were in a coastal town, we all decided on a seafood restaurant. Virginia's On the Bay has a catchy name but that... More

For many of the tables, there is a great view of the water. The food was good, but not good enough to justify the price compared to similar places along the same waterfront. Con: no beer on draft.

We tried going here on a Saturday evening and the place was packed so we decided to come back on another evening. We had much better luck walking in and getting a table with a view on Monday night. Our server was attentive and kept us happy throughout our whole dinning experience. Food was good and fresh. Would come here... More

Not for a large group- they can't split tickets!! Nice atmosphere overlooking the water and decent drinks but very overpriced for the terrible food! Tasted like imitation calamari and crab. Service was alright.

Once my mom, granny and I made it to Port A we were starving. Virginia's on the Bay was open and serving a good grilled piece of steak, which is what my mom wanted at the time. Being vegan, I eat most of my food before we arrive at the restaurants. So, I didn't eat here but my granny and... More

Went here last night. Ordered fried oysters, oysters on the half shell and shrimp. Portions were very small and horribly over-priced! (6 tiny fried oysters over greasy fries for 23.99 for example). One of our party ordered a Manhattan. She got a shot of Jack Daniels on the rocks. Had to remind our waitress several times that we needed a... More

I loved dining while watching dolphins swim in the bay. Our host was pleasant but our server seemed distant and didn't come around enough. I had to remind her that I had ordered a side salad after our entrees had arrived. My steak was tasty and cooked just right. I could have done without the instant mashed potatoes and the... More

We had dinner at Virginia's on a Friday evening. We had a group of 15 and one family arrived after we were seated. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us and were very patient while we all got situated. I wish I could remember our waiter's name. He was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very... More
