Had read many bad reviews of the place, but had been many years ago, so I wanted to give it a try myself. Thought the food was really good, We had to wait for a table of 4 for about 20 minutes but there was plenty of seating in the waiting area. The service was quick and friendly. Several of... more

My husband and I have an RV located in Aransas Pass from April until the end of September - just oposite of the Winter Texans. We make it a point to eat at Virginia's each time we go down for a weekend. To date, we have not had any bad experiences with the wait staff or the food. My husband... more

My wife and I were looking for a good meal that was a cut above the local fish house. Fooled by the location and atmosphere, we unfortunately chose Virginia's On The Bay. We were seated immediately and literally squeezed between two other tables. I had to end up physically moving our table, so that I would not hit heads with... more

This place might be better off to get rid of the food altogether and clean out the place and just charge people 8.99 each to stand in the building and enjoy the view. Usually when the place prominently places on the menu. "ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTIONS, it should be a dead give away about their concern for their customer's happiness. Being... more

I was a little reticent to try Virginia's on the Bay after reading all the other posts! But, we really wanted to have a drink on the waterfront so we tried it out and had a really good experience. The primary surpise was the service. I was really hoping for a table on the waterfront, as the view is wonderful... more

I can honestly say that I have never been to this website until today. I was so upset with our meal and service at "Virginia's on the Bay" I decided to do some digging and check out their reveiws. It makes me wonder how they are still in service. I assume it is all because of the veiw. However, I... more

We weren't expecting much from Port Aransas in terms of food. We figured that going there in the off-season probably wouldn't result in the same experience, good or bad, we would have in season. Many of the restaurants are shuttered for the winter. So, we managed to get to Virginia's for their breakfast. The building is located on the docks... more

Virginia's seemingly has so much potential. About six years ago, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch there. Subsequent visits, however, have been less favorable. Our last stop (1-03-09) was to have a pre-dinner drink and enjoy the view. During the thirty minutes or so that my husband and I spent at the bar, our waitress made two reservations (on the house... more

Service was okay -- food was horrible. I had the the grilled Mahi and grilled shrimp. They were less than ordinary; however, the sides left me flabbergasted! The garlic mashed potatoes were instant and pasty.....the carrott, broccolli blend tasted like they were out of a produce isle bag of vegetables designed to munch on -- not overly cooked in water,... more

This restaurant is in a nice scenic location on the marina with an open-air view of it. The breeze through the restaurant is very comfortable. I had the fish sandwich and it was completely awesome. We will definitely go back to Virginia's again. more
