We had dinner at Virginia's on a Friday evening. We had a group of 15 and one family arrived after we were seated. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us and were very patient while we all got situated. I wish I could remember our waiter's name. He was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very... More

We always come to Virginia's when we're on the island. We got to come twice on this visit, & we weren't disappointed either time. Dillon waited on us the first time & gave very good service. We even talked about the bread we love & always go to Virginia's for. He agreed & recommended we try it with the mesquite... More

We have been coming here for 20 years and as a tradition it is always our first stop on arrival. Right on the channel it is an "island time" open air beach house. The beer is cold and the food is good (not great) and a little pricy. But we always go back!

We had a great late lunch on the bay in Portland Texas. The restaurant was open air, with an active bar and fun family dining. The menu was very complete, something for everyone. The bar drinks were also very, very good. Gumbo and New England Clam chowder were real. The service was great.

The place was really busy on a Tuesday evening -- up to an hour wait for bigger groups... The four of us waited about 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly, and took our order quickly, but it did take quite a while to get the food. I had one of their specials of the day/week, and it was quite... More

My daughter and I had a late lunch here last week prior to checking into our condo for our annual "No Boys Allowed" trip and were looking forward to some good food and a refreshing cocktail. Unfortunately our server was so distracted by his other tables that we wound up waiting and waiting for drinks, our food, extra napkins, and... More

Okay we took our family & friends on our boat from North Padre Island to Port A. We always go to Virginias, we can park our boat there, while the food is less than it used to be back when Virginia owned it ( she used fresh fish and shrimp) the location can't be beat, go upstairs for drinks, great... Reviews said this place was extremely good and to die for. It is not that great. Atmosphere The atmosphere is really friendly and you can see the bay from anywhere you are seated. It has a patio setting yet you are seated inside with the "garage doors" open around you. Atmosphere is nice. Service Friendly service and helpful people. The... More
