Marcel's is one of our favorite restaurants in Port Aransas. We have been enjoying their food for many years. The hostess is so accommodating and the wait staff is very attentive. The food is most excellent. We always start with the fried oyster app and move on from there with the specials or fried shrimp. We love the atmosphere. We... More

When everywhere else in Port Aransas is overrun with crowds of tourists, try Marcel's. Peaceful, pleasant, elegant but homey, a great place to relax, with a varied menu of well-prepared continental food. The service is professional and friendly. Marcel's has become one of our new favorites in Port A.

Last visit steak was chewy and crab cakes (usually excellent) were overcooked. Former visits were very good. Hope Marcel can rectify things. Service was very good. I'm going to spend my money at Pelican Club, Venetian Hot Plate, La Barataria, Trout Street (Fried shrimp yummola), Phoenix and others. Bill

We are sorry to hear of your disappointing experience Bill. We would have liked to have corrected those two issues on the spot had they been brought to our attention. We are sorry to lose your business, but we know you will be well taken care of by all the restaurants you listed - they are all more than worthy... More

So we were staying in Corpus and decided to come back to Port A for the hometown non chain meal. We weren't disappointed. The fish was great, light and fresh, and a great price. The chicken cordon blu was handmade and fantastic. Lightly sautéed. Menu is extensive as are the German beer selections. Dessert was to die for.

Good German food, attentive waiter, nice quiet atmosphere. Impressive selection on import beer. Highly recommend the red cabbage, has perfect sweetness/tartness. Pork Schnitzel was good, served with perfectly steamed, julienned vegetables, and German pan potatoes.

We are locals and eat dinner at Marcel's several times a month. Typically there are two to three daily specials listed on the chalkboard. Soup of the day never fails...I even order it in the Summer. The fish specials are always superb and prepared to highlight the clean, fresh taste. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. They are also open... More

I had driven past Marcel's for years and never even noticed it or payed any attention to it. I finally decided to give it a try a few months back when everything else in town was ultra crowded. I have been back once after the first visit. I was thoroughly impressed both times. Thought the restaurant does not look like... More

We went about 8PM and the restaurant was mostly empty and we decided to settle here as other restaurants had 45+ min waits. We had 11 in our party and they could not sit us at the same table or move two tables together, but instead seated us at two tables with an empty table in between. A couple in... More

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your dining experience with us (and we really mean that) Port Aransas is a very busy tourist destination in the summer, and their tends to be a lot of folks on waiting lists - particularly if you have a large group. That really doesn't have to be a problem with us because... More

I've been here numerous times and always come back for more. Tonight jumbo sea scallops with ginger sauce, gazpacho, creme Brule.....hello??? The rational German favorites can always be found here as well. The also sell bread by the loaf and if you live in Port A your always looking for good bread. This place is not the typical tourist trendy... More
