Wonderful..Not sure it could be better.

Solo business traveler.. Second trip here in a year. First trip was very good April 2014.. Tonight I had golden tile with crab and a grilled romaine salad. Everything was perfect!...I'm on a diet so I avoided the bread and desert. The golden tile was served with fabulous mash potatoes and... read more

Make sure you make a reservation!! The phones were down when we called to make reservations and we were unable to eat. I will say the place smelled delicious. The hostess was a little pretentious. Maybe next time.

We ate dinner here this past weekend and would not return. The restaurant was Italian, but you will not find regular Italian dishes here. It is more of an expensive

My wife, son and I had dinner here on our last night of Spring Break. The service was very friendly but not intrusive. The food was outstanding. It was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Very pleasant setting, reasonably good but not extensive wine list, and great service. I had the duck breast, my son had... More

Any restaurant that stays in business for 20 years has to be doing things the right way and the Venetian Hot Plate does just that: great food, good wine, great service (thanks, Paul and Nancy), lovely and gracious owner. Don't let the imagery of "hot plate" fool you. This is fine Italian (mostly) cuisine with Texas gulf coast, think local... More

I visited Venetian Hot Plate for the first time on a business trip to Corpus Christi. We ordered the lump crab with bread as an appetizer and it was really good. I also got the house Caesar salad which was fresh, crisp and delicious. For my dinner I ordered the 14oz. Peppercorn crusted ribeye cooked medium-rare. The steak was excellent... More

Going to Texas as a vegetarian is always fraught with peril. There are not a lot of options in this town for food and I must say this place was fabulous. Good wine list. They modified many of their menu options to help us avoid the meat in the dish, the staff was helpful and kind. Great place!

The Venetian Hot Plate is without doubt the finest place to dine in Port Aransas, perhaps on the entire Texas gulf coast. Linda is the owner and is an Italian transplant from near Venice. Her attention to detail and food quality is only surpassed by her warm and genuine reception of the restaurant guests. I have never been disappointed by... More

My wife and I live and Port A and this is our favorite restaurant. Food is always fresh and excellent tasting. Kika is our normal waitress and she does a fantastic job all the way around including excellent service and wine recommendations. We always bring friends and family here when they visit Port A. It is best to make reservations.

We were looking for  a nice restaurant for our 28th anniversary dinner while in Port Aransas and the Venetian Hot Plate seemed to be just right.   It was our special night so we, of course went overboard and had a great meal,   We ordered the Scaloppine ai Carciofi– Veal scaloppini finished with a sun-dried tomato, mushroom and artichoke...
