Great presentation , Expensive.

Arrived at 5pm midweek ,real hole in the wall place. Ordered Mahi , Black Drum and Gumbo . Fish was prepared and presented very nicely great taste, the gumbo was a disappointment ..thin and missing flavor . Along with one beer the cost was 73 dollars plus tip , In my opinion about 20 dollars too... read more

Just had another great meal at Shells. I had the Cappelini pasta with seafood in a coconut broth that was delicious. My husband had the seafood gumbo and he loved it. Just need a little patience to be seated but it is worth the wait.

The food was good but not amazing and the prices were very high. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. However there are SO MANY choices it's overwhelming. I had the scallop Alfredo - which I probably won't have again. I would like to try something else though.

My husband and I ate at Shells and amazingly had never been there before. That in itself is amazing considering I've been coming to Port A for 37 yrs! Decided to stop in and we were so glad we did. The food was so delicious! I had the clam chowder and my husband had the steamed clams. Yummy! Great wine... More

Wife and I have been going here for years and have always enjoyed the good food and service. But this time both my wife's good and my food was not good. I ordered seafood pasta plate. I asked what seafood would be in it. I was told that it would have shrimp, crab claws, mussels and scallops. When it was... More

I thought the food was great, but my wife had a different experience. We started off with the olive appetizer which was very large and tasty. Then I got a tie pasta and she got a green vegetable pasta. Mine was unique and very flavorful and very filling. Her dry green pasta with vegetables didn't have any sauce and she... More

It isn't much to look at, but this little restaurant had a broad menu and good food. I would eat there again.

Locals recommended this place, but we did not like the food. Drinks and atmosphere was great, but food was bad. Very small place. Get there early. Would not recommend this place.

It is a quaint, little restaurant and if you continue on, you will be on Port A. Beach which is beautiful. I don't know if this is true, but a restaurant review on tv, gave them bad marks on the cleanliness of the kitchen. Yipes! If it is true, I don't want to go there, just to be safe.

We had eaten way too much fried whatever and I was really looking forward to a change. The restaurant is really small but comfortable. Our dishes were tasty, but fell off "excellent" as the sauces were watery. Still, this was the best I had this trip to Port A.
