Yummy but pricey

This is a little romantic place very close to the beach. Lines can be long so go a little earlier or later than most people. The olives are delicious as are all the pasta dishes. This is not the place to go with growing teenage boys as they will want more food and it's a little on the expensive... read more

We were very disappointed with Shells. Food was just okay. Cesar salad was very bitter - how hard is it to make a decent salad? Grilled shrimp were ok, they don't offer fried because the waitress said they only serve healthy food. My kids pointed out that there menu has a lot of heavy unhealthy pasta sauces. Place is very... It was crowded and I though the food was just average in quality and overpriced. We didn't go back on our next visit.

We went on a Sunday evening when they opened at 5pm and got one of the last tables indoors ... there were many families dining including those with very young children. Our waitress was very helpful, friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. My college age son ordered the seafood gumbo, my teen daughter ordered the steamed... More

They have a wide selection and what we hade was excellent and worth the money. I had the seared Mahi Mahi and the avocado with unagi. They Key Lime pie was great.

Whereas this is a very pretty restaurant, perhaps I ordered the wrong item--shrimp tacos. Each corn tortilla (similar to what you would buy at the local grocery store) held 2 very dried out/cold shrimp and a heap of boxed mixed greens instead of the traditional shredded cabbage most fish tacos have. In fact we all emptied our tacos of the... More

I have had almost everything on the menu and the food is amazing. Stay away from the menu and order from the chalkboard. The ceviche and wedge salad are great appetizers. The tuna sandwich, beef tips and mahi mahi are always good for entrees. The restaurant is small so the wait is long and you have to wait outside because... More

Very, very noisy! If you don't want Italian seafood, better go somewhere else. Very limited selection and very pricey. Service is okay, but there are only about 10 tables in the place.

These folks don't know what "fresh" or "seasoning" mean! I ordered the crab cake and shrimp. First, the crab cake should have been called a crab cracker. It was thin and griddle fried to a crisp--almost un-cuttable. Being right next to the Gulf, you would think they could serve fresh Gulf Shrimp--but no, I receivde shrimp that look like they... More

This small but cozy restaurant was a bit pricy for my taste but the service was excellent and the wait wasn't longer than fifteen minutes. My girlfriend and I both got the sausage, shrimp, and crab gumbo and it was delicious! All of their desserts are homemade and looked delicious too so we shared a slice of banana cheesecake and...
