Food was excellent from appetizer to dessert. Eat there every time I am in Port A. Seating is a little cozy but doesn't affect service

Quaint, clean, friendly staff, accommodating to vegetarians...they even went so far as to substitute vegetable stock in a recipe so I could eat it. I go here every time I'm at port A. The best restaurant here by far!

I have been to Shells at least 12 times. My coworker and I go every time we are in Corpus Christi. The food has always been excellent and the service is great too. This restaurant is small with limited seating which makes the experience more personal. I have tried several different menu items (my favorite is the steak and shrimp)... More

Im a frequent diner. Italian-European-Mexican influened menu. Looking at menu and after your experience here you will know this is an experienced, well traveled chef. Real food here. This is not anything like any other food in island. Pasta is excellent. Service really good. This is a really small place so expect wait during high season or try going right... More

I try to stay in places on Ave. G just so I can be near Shells. I love this place! Unfortunately, on my last visit, the food was served luke warm to cold. The server seemed more interested in a conversation with the table next to us than staying on time with our food. But, the quality of this place... More

We tried Shell's on a lovely Sunday afternoon. I had the flounder with a brown butter sage sauce and it was excellent. The flounder was fresh, cooked to perfection and the sauce was light but flavorful….perfect for the flounder. My partner chose the black drum with a red pepper sauce and he was very happy with his choice. The ambiance... More

Saw this place in Texas Highways magazine and had to try it. Very disappointed in service, food, atmosphere and overall was a terrible dining experience. Highly overpriced and poor quality. Won't go back and am writing Texas Highways also.

I love this place. Tiny small with a really intimate feel. I hope they never remodel because it would ruin the ambiance. We were here a year ago and just couldn't wait to come back. The waitstaff loves what they do and it shows. I recommend the Kreuz Market Sausage and Sauerkraut appetizer. Red Snapper was good. Most importantly the... More

Ordered the 10oz sirloin steak and 10 shrimp tonight and was not disappointed in any way. Meat was cooked perfectly and the prawns tasted great. Lovely service from our waitress who was incredibly helpful when she realised she'd taken the wrong order. Great authentic surroundings in the restaurant add to the great feel and charm of this place. Highly recommended.

We have been dining here for several years now and always seem to come back. The menu is a little perplexing to get through, between the blackboard and the printed items, on your first visit. But if you take the time, there are some very unique dishes that won't be found at the other island restaurants.
