This restaurant definitely has the "island" vibe. It's very small, and you can see the kitchen from the dining room. My fiance and I walked here from our hotel room across the street, and it was busy on a Thursday evening. We waited for about 25 minutes on the outside patio area, which was nice. Once seated, we ordered seafood... More

We've been eating at Shell's for lunch nearly every day for the last year. The food is excellent, as is the service. Marianne is the best! If there is a line, it's well worth the wait. Even if you're vegetarian, there are numerous things to choose from- all of them delicious. In addition, Karen makes fresh desserts every morning. This... More

There is not a cuter, quainter, friendlier restaurant this side of the Rio Bravo. Did I forget to mention the extensive menu with changes made twice daily. The food is beyond amazing. I eat there on a consistent basis and the food remains as consistent in quality as the first time I visited. The wait staff is as professional and... More

Love the small space and tasty food for years but apparently any drink foul mouth fisherman with a fist full of cash can take over without one ounce of "management" concern. I won't be back.

This place was recommended to us, and we were excited to try it out, but we were quickly disappointed. My view at my seat was of an AC unit sitting in an inch of water, thick with dust bunnies. The thermostat looked like it needed a good scrub. Hubby ordered a $20 shrimp with horseradish sauce. The shrimp looked and... More

We were in Port A for almost a week and only ate out once-lunch at Shell's. The food there is really, really good and much more vegetarian-friendly (at most places the only vegetarian options are a baked potato and/or salad) so we can all enjoy a great meal. It is a little more pricey than the average in Port A,... More

Very small establishment. Go really early or you will wait forever. Pricey. Service was good. Quaint.

Something has changed here we haven't been here in 3 years. This was our place to go on the last night each time we have gone to Port A. Some basic ideas and flavors off on everything.I feel like someone else is running or bought the place. Each dish we had was bland. The almost good hotel food feel. Maybe... More

Admittedly we have only been there once, but it is nothing special. Maybe the pasta dishes are worth the wait and expense, but the seafood is not. It's a quaint little place, with an expansive and creative menu, and as they have been in business since 1996, clearly they are doing something right, but there are many better choices on... More

Great place to enjoy good food in Port A! Varied menu to satisfy a wide variety of tastes! I love the Lobster Roll (sandwich, not sushi) and pastas! If youre into olives too, get the appetizer! Relaxed atmosphere + Great food = win!
