We were surprised that Roosevelt's dining room was so small ... Just 8 tables ... But it was a cozy setting with real linen and candles on the tables. The chefs worked with efficiency and a sense of purpose in an open kitchen that was absolutely spotless. The service and food were both top notch. I had a wedge salad... More

I've been to Port Aransas many times over the years but just discovered this hidden gem last week. It's across an outdoor courtyard from the Tarpon Inn and has less than 10 tables so is a very intimate setting. The chef is visible from most tables. I had warm spinach salad, red snapper with seafood ravioli, and s'mores cheesecake (which... More

We really enjoyed our first visit. Our friends recommended Roosevelts for me and my daughters Valentine's date. It was awesome! Our dishes were perfectly presented and cooked, service was friendly and knowledgable and Roosevelts was clean. We had a GREAT Valentine's date!!

Dining at the Roosevelt was an absolute delight. The cooks are two young men giving their all to bring forth a wonderful and delicious dining experience. From the cozy, romantic and embracing of the past history and beauty of The Tarpon itself it is quite quaint in a great way. We had Prime cut Rib-Eye atop a bed of sliced... More

We tried Roosevelt's for the first time on a recent visit to PA. It was off season on a Friday night. We were the only people dining there. That should have told us something. We had the crab cakes and the grouper. The crab cakes were just ok. The grouper was good. In spite of us being the only diners... More

We are all fairly accomplished amateur chefs in our group so let us say if you appreciate fine dining and are anywhere near Port Aransas you have to eat at Roosevelt's. Four of us had dinner on Chrismas Eve. Appetizers were Oysters Rockefeller that were beyond outstanding (still sizzling in the shells five minutes after being served), Balsamic Bread with... More

For some unknown reason we had dined at most of the restaurants on Padre Island but never at Roosevelt's. Better late than never is an understatement! From the sincere greeting/service from Katie as soon as we entered to the last bite of food....it was truly a special birthday dinner experience. What chef Jeff can do with a balsamic based topping... More

Simple atmosphere, Excellent seafood, very good service, the food was quick and hot, generous wine pourings. Some of the best dining we've had from NYC to Aspen.

Fantastic food at Roosvelts - BEST lamb chops I've ever had, chicken and shrimp dish also outstanding. Cheesecake and bread pudding were to die for. The service from Katie and the chef were top notch. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have enjoyed multiple meals at this fine establishment, and I have yet to have a poor or even mediocre experience. Katie is a fantastic, competent server who you can hold a lovely conversation with while the head chef prepares you one of the greatest meals you will probably ever have. Whether you choose beef, shrimp, fish, or lamb...I can... More
