Seafood

We stopped and pick up fresh shrimp and fish to bring back home. Prices were better there than back at home.

Great place to get fresh seafood to take back and cook in your beach rental. If you have cookware available, it's nice to cook up some fresh fish right there.

Great service from the kindest lady you could ever meet. I traveled to Port A with my 14 year non seafood eating son. I went in to buy shrimp and she was so good to take the time to explain to me how to cook them and she even gave me a small container of her house made cocktail sauce... More

We stumbled upon Port "A" Seafood Company, which was lucky for us because we knew that we wanted to get some fresh seafood from here when we got on the island but we couldn't find any information about them on the Internet or by calling information. The seafood was very fresh! We also got some crab cakes along with their... More

This is a local family run seafood business. The owner's boats go out fishing overnight, and the catch is sold at the Port A Seafood Company store the next day. You can't find seafood any fresher than that, unless you buy it directly off the boats or catch it yourself. If the store is closed, it's because the sea was... More

One of the few places in Port A where you can get shrimp from the nearby Gulf. The place is run by a very nice Vietnamese family. Everyone was courteous and helpful. The food was very reasonably priced. We are definitely coming back here on our next visit to the coast.

Great, fresh seafood and temptations such as the BEST remulade sauce I ever had over my crab cakes and temptworthy key lime cheese cake. They won't let you have the recipe for the sauce, but they are sure to give you a chance at terrific crab cakes, large shrimp and fish.

I expect in a town driven by tourism that establishments would work to make peoples visits pleasurable. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, I guess because we asked about crawfish (which they do not sell). We would have bought fresh shrimp but it was overpriced at $13 per lb.

Our last night in Port A, we both decided that we were too tired to go out to a restaurant so we stopped at the IGA to get a bottle of cheap wine and some crackers. We then headed to the Port A Seafood Co and got a pound of steamed shrimp to take back to the hotel room. The... More
