You may be on an island, but you're still in Texas

Looking for someplace we haven't tried in Port Aransas & came across this place. I had the sliced brisket sandwich with their Island Sauce (BBQ sauce with pineapple & orange juice). I wasn't planning on BBQ for lunch, but I was pleasantly surprised. The brisket was tender & served on a homemade... read more

Yum Yum - Fish is fantastic and the fries are real. Under renovations on our last trip - hope they are open on our next visit.

Our first day arriving in Port Aransas we typically eat dinner out that night. This year and last year we ate at Beaches. Last year was an amazing experience - for food and service. This year was awful for service and good for food. We were a party of 7 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies. We arrived before the... More

Checked out Beaches Café and Bakery. Had a sliced BBQ sandwich. Great flavor and tender. Fries were same as everywhere else but the Ranch dressing was good. Fun atmosphere, great service, good prices. Too full to try the desserts. Will have to do that next time!

Took a while for food to come out, but that seems about par for the course in this part of the state. BBQ was delicious. The bun that was used for my sandwich was delicious. I... More

They have wonderful seafood and BBQ too plus a great bakery as well. The coleslaw is my favorite - wish I knew the secret. Really enjoy the food, reasonable price and air conditioned!

We were sent here by our waiter (at The Brewery not good) for desert. We had the paradise brownie or paradise cookie. DO not have words to say how yummy it was.

This was a great find by accident. Our regular dinner place had a 1 1/2 hour wait, so we ventured out. Great BBQ and decent burgers + some cool to-go cups as souvenirs! We are happy find a new place with great food and service, just bring your wallet and they know they are the only BBQ place on an... More

Our family has been traveling to Port Aransas for 21 years now, we are big on breakfast. So when beaches opened up not to long ago we were pretty pleased.....so what happened? We walked in this morning to grab a bite and the bakery looked like it was closed although, the door sign said open and it appeared to be... More
