Had the fish and chips which was very reasonably price and tasted great. Friends had the garlic buttered fish and shrimp and said the shrimp was fantastic.

This food was reasonably priced and pretty good. My wife had the turkey and cheese sandwich and said the bread was very soft and good. I had the fejita special and it was good as well. We both enjoyed it.

Here once again at Avery's Kitchen in Port A. Where you can get pancakes you will dream about when you get back home! Been looking forward to them since we planned or trip!

Had lunch here today. The daily special was fish & chips with choice of corn chowder or slaw, tea or coffee & bread pudding for dessert for $6.95. That's right, all that for $6.95 and it was delicious! Seriously delish! Some of the best fish I ever ate(grouper) fried perfectly, not greasy or fishy and the breading was superb. Fries... More

Our search for the "best fried shrimp" in Port Aransas led us to Avery's Kitchen on a slow Tuesday night in April. The town is still pretty sleepy at that time of year, so we had the restaurant to ourselves that night. The waitress was a "local" and super-friendly. She talked us into a few choices we might have passed... More

We decided on Avery's Kitchen for dinner during a quick road trip to Port A. We had checked reviews and ratings for some of the other places nearby and ended up at Avery's. My husband and I both had the grilled fish and shrimp dinner. It was perfectly cooked, delicious and flavorful! I was afraid that using tartar sauce on... More

We have been hearing how good the breakfast is at Avery's for quite some time. They were correct. I had a 3 egg western omelet which was fantastic. The hashbrowns were from real potatoes, not from a bag. The biscuits were amazing but the gravy was not homemade. All this plus all the coffee you could ever drink delivered by... More

I have only tried the breakfast here multiple times but the food was good, basically what you expect for a local cafe. The service was quick and friendly.
