What a pleasant surprise to discover a fine dining experience in Port A! The 4 of us ate inside where reservations are a must (we used the online service "opentable.com" which worked very well). Inside dining is intimate with great views. While one might expect white linen tablecloths they are instead terry cloth beach towels (which received the only negative... More

My husband and I came in and sat at the bar. The male bartender didn't even acknowledge us and after 10 minutes of sitting there we finally asked for a menu. 15 minutes in he did not offer us drinks. We finally ordered 2 waters, had he offered anything we would have gotten alcohol. Extremely rude when taking order. After... More

Yuck! Spent dinner fanning my plate to keep the flies away. Unfortunately one ended up in my drink. The flies were so bad we had to ask for a plate to be covered while that party member left the table. Waitress was put out that we made such a request and never apologized or offered to anything.

We did not know about this restaurant until a waitress at the Venetian Hot Plate said she had a good friend who worked there and that it was very good. We found it and showed up the next nite without res. but got in quickly. Good atmosphere with harbor views. I had the Chilean Sea Bass that was the best... More

Have been going to Port A for years-have a condo there now and family had a home at Island Moorings. Went to La Barataria with a friend who highly recommended it and we had a great meal with great service, and I posted pics on FB of the gorgeous sunset view. Raved about it to other friends and went back... More

What a pleasant surprise in Port Aransas, TX. Large seafood menu with the best ahi tuna served rare, that my husband ever had, except in Hawaii. Sea scallops were wonderful, too. Excellent wine list. Although it was crowded for a Monday night, service was good and wait staff was very personable. Casual atmosphere with brightly colored beach towels for tablecloths... More

La Baritaria is not in the middle of town but can still be reached by golf cart. We have been several times and never been disappointed. The food and service are excellent. The bread basket is a must!

We had eggs benedict and Dutch pancackes, both were awesome! Small indoor area but nice view from patio area when the weather is nice.

A big thank you! My wife and I popped in for dinner and to celebrate our 12th Anniversary on Monday. Everything was fabo! Abby was an absolute sweetheart and perfect server. I have tried to keep you folks as a secret all to ourselves but I can't help but to brag on you. I have dined in some of the... More
