Long live Port Aransas! A tiny dinner and local favorite. Breakfast comes in large portions. Coffee unlimited. Terrific staff. Be prepared to wait after 11 a.m. Reminds me of the good old days when Port A. was a small fishing town.

What a quaint friendly place. We really liked the eggs Benedict ($14.99), great grits and big delicious breakfast tacos ($4.99). Happy that they had sweet tea too. The crispy fried breakfast potatoes were fantastic. Can hardly wait to try the homemade biscuits next time! Is real "home cooking" here! Enjoy!

at least they served breakfast anytime. I thought it was expensive. Food and service was good just overpriced. South Padre Island Port Aransas is not.

In search of a great local restaurant for breakfast on our first visit to Port Aransas, we found Frankie's, and are so glad we did!! Normally we steer away from places with mixed reviews (as we found on this site for Frankie's), but despite the several "haters", we ventured in based on the many strong, positive, and quite specific coments... Great food, good attentive table service. I highly recommend the pancakes, biscuits and home fries. We had a long wait for our food but it was well worth it.

My 2 friends/co-workers and I always try to go to Frankie's Kitchen for lunch on Fridays. They serve breakfast all day and the Egg Benedict is great. The food is good 'home cookin'. We love the owner and her family, just good people. I had the special today 'Meat Loaf, with mashed potatoes, corn and a biscuit.

We had great breakfast and service at Frankie's and I can't complain about that, it was really great. Only problem is the place is really small and doesn't have many tables. If you wind up at a big table you kinda have to share your table with strangers cause you don't wanna be "the jerk that won't share the big... More

I don't often write reviews. Something has to be either amazing or awful. Unfortunately, this place is the latter. IN SHORT::::: After waiting 20 minutes for a table (no problem), we WAITED 65 MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD with a hungry, antsy toddler. The table that was seated 5 minutes before us left 30 minutes before our food ever arrived. Even... More

The only problem I have with Frankie's is that they are only open Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Breakfast tacos are huge, pancakes are fluffy, fried fish and shrimp is large and lightly crispy. But the grits! Oh my! These are 'slap your mama' good. Even when we go for lunch,we will order grits as an appetizers. Not to be missed.... More
