This was one of the few places in Port Aransas that I kept hearing I had to go to. Apparently the owners drive down from Houston every weekend to cook breakfast here. It is a small place and it was packed. I wasn't sure if I should wait, and then I saw some of the plates coming out of the... More

We loved our breakfast at Frankie's! We went there on our last morning at Port A. It was a great "last" experience for that trip.

Don't be decieved by the exterior...this is the best restaurant in Port A. The burger was the best I've had in a while (definitely the best on the island). The pancakes were like crack - I couldn't stop eating them. Everyone in our party of 8 had a great meal. The staff was great - excellent experience all around.

Like many of the restaurants on Port Aransas, this one is a family owned business, small and no frills. It seats only 22 people at a time. You'll be asked to wait outside for a table, which can be brutal in the summer. But once we were seated, the server and owners were very friendly and the food came out... More

We had a party of seven and everyone was very happy with their food. The pancakes with strawberries in side were a hit. The eggs Benedict was fantastic, the shrimp omelette got a great review. The huge Krispy thing my son (who does not eat well)ate every bite.

If you like a diner type of place, then this is the place. It's very small and can only seat about 20 people, so there is a wait, but the service is quick and tables turnover quite regularly (and you are on vacation at the beach, so chill). We were there for breakfast and it was just what we were... More

We were first in the restaurant on Saturday morning a few minutes before opening. The owners offered us fresh hot coffee as they ate their employee meal. We ordered blueberry pancakes and eggs benedict served on their homemade buttermilk biscuit. Wow! Best meal on the island. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We stayed across the Street at the Tarpon Inn, and walked over to Frankie's. They just accept cash and they are just open Friday, Saturday, Sunday for breakfast and lunch until 3pm. The place looks pretty old and beat up but it is clean and the service might be a little slow but it is really good. It seemed like... More
