Frankie the cook and her husband joe serve up a wide array of dishes prepared that day with the daily catch of fish crab and shrimp. Nothing is ever frozen. The desserts are home favorites that change like banana pudding. Cobblers and pies. Home cooking at its best. Waitress Joanie will keep ur tea glass filled. Expect a wait as... More

This is a great place for breakfast as long as you get there early!!! The service is good, but the food takes a while to prepare. Once it gets there, you will be impressed. Don't even think about taking little kids there...it is so small, they might get executed by the other patrons.

The people are very nice, but everything runs on slow time. 1 1/2 hrs for breakfast. The carrot cake is outstanding. We enjoyed the pancakes & omelet. Whole wheat toast, store bought & soggy. 6 tables so you may have to wait for a place to sit.

The pancakes with Blackberries were heaven, moist, light and big on flavor! Bacon was cooked to perfection, crispy! Everything is homemade with Frankie's special touch! Everything on the menu is FANTASTIC and made fresh! Even though this place is small, it turns out GREAT food and worth every bite!!

Really good breakfast----which doesn't seem like a difficult task--apparently in Port A it is is. How hard can it be to make a good breakfast? Frankie's puts every other breakfast place to shame. Its small (6 tables to be exact) but proves good things come in little packages. Fantastic Eggs Benedict HOMEMADE hash browns cooked to perfection. And there's no... More

The Eggs Benedict was very good. Small place only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for breakfast and lunch. Great food and good service. Obviously a local favorite.

We ordered by phone for take out. I should have caught on that this was not a typical South Texas breakfast taco place when they said they didn't have bean and cheese, chorizo, picadillo, or carne guisada. That aside, we ordered and went to pick up. my jaw almost hit the floor when she handed us the bill for $45.... More

Seeing the generally good reviews, my wife and I were disappointed with our breakfast experience. At $12.99 her eggs Benedict was bland and unremarkable. My fried eggs came with bacon burned to a crisp and served with just a smattering of country potatoes and a crumbly bisquit. With drinks, our check was $26.50 (cash only) and was not even filling for... More

My wife and I had breakfast at "Frankie's" October 7, 2012, and it was a TERRIFIC breakfast experience. I had the BEST pancakes I have ever eaten. Service was attentive and pleasant. The place is small (6 - 7 tables) and you may have to wait. Currently open only Friday - Sunday. Our bill was $21 for two. Do yourself... More

What a surprise. You walk in and see the smallest dining floor ever-- only 6 tables. How good can this be, right?!? Well, you won't think that for long. The first thing that we noticed was how friendly and attentive the staff was to us and out two toddlers. Next out came the Crispy Flipper, which is French Toast layered... More
