Great old fashioned Breakfast!

Nice small place. Relaxing atmosphere. The pancakes are wonderful. Large and fluffy...biscuits and home fries are great too. ** Cash Only ** ATM is nearby at the Stripes on the corner.

We had breakfast at Frankie's two of three mornings visiting Port A. Eggs Benedict were a bit pricey at $14.99 but very good! Pancakes with added fruit in batter were awesome and our new favorite. Go early....we found no lines as mentioned in other reviews. You'll be glad you are at Frankie's!

At first I was a little leery about going in the restaurant because it wasn't the typical restaurant I would frequent but I am very glad I did. Everything about Frankie's Kitchen was delicious. The omelette, country potatoes, biscuit, fresh fruit were all awesome. They had just made banana pudding which was delicious. They gave us samples of pancakes and... More

Cute little place with 6-7 tables. Walked in for breakfast, told there was a 15 minute wait for a table, even though we saw an empty table. Walked around, came back, now told it would be a half hour wait, (???) even though nothing was changed, including empty table sitting forlornly. So we say, what about that empty table over... More

Long live Port Aransas! A tiny dinner and local favorite. Breakfast comes in large portions. Coffee unlimited. Terrific staff. Be prepared to wait after 11 a.m. Reminds me of the good old days when Port A. was a small fishing town.

What a quaint friendly place. We really liked the eggs Benedict ($14.99), great grits and big delicious breakfast tacos ($4.99). Happy that they had sweet tea too. The crispy fried breakfast potatoes were fantastic. Can hardly wait to try the homemade biscuits next time! Is real "home cooking" here! Enjoy!

at least they served breakfast anytime. I thought it was expensive. Food and service was good just overpriced. South Padre Island Port Aransas is not.

In search of a great local restaurant for breakfast on our first visit to Port Aransas, we found Frankie's, and are so glad we did!! Normally we steer away from places with mixed reviews (as we found on this site for Frankie's), but despite the several "haters", we ventured in based on the many strong, positive, and quite specific coments... Great food, good attentive table service. I highly recommend the pancakes, biscuits and home fries. We had a long wait for our food but it was well worth it.
