I don't often write reviews. Something has to be either amazing or awful. Unfortunately, this place is the latter. IN SHORT::::: After waiting 20 minutes for a table (no problem), we WAITED 65 MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD with a hungry, antsy toddler. The table that was seated 5 minutes before us left 30 minutes before our food ever arrived. Even... More

The only problem I have with Frankie's is that they are only open Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Breakfast tacos are huge, pancakes are fluffy, fried fish and shrimp is large and lightly crispy. But the grits! Oh my! These are 'slap your mama' good. Even when we go for lunch,we will order grits as an appetizers. Not to be missed.... More

I'm not a picky diner. But will not be going back. Unless I just want a bowl of oatmeal. Sasuage was black on outside, over medium eggs came out over easy. Did I mention the oatmeal was superb? The deal breaker was the shrimp omelette. The shrimp had a really powerful shrimp taste. We complained and the cook came straight... More

A group of us spent a weekend in Port Aransas about 2 month ago for a photography shoot. We went to the Horace Caldwell Pier for sunrise photos. Needless to say, we were done by 7:30 a.m. and we were hungry. And local gave us a recommendation for Frankie's Kitchen. What a wonderful little place! We were the first customers... More

Three of us age 50 put our name on the list for 30 min wait (maybe 8 tables seating). We left and came back so only waited about 3 mins outside. No room inside rain or shine. Our meal was $45 for 3 people at breakfast. We had Eggs Benedict $15, 2 pancakes w/fruit in them eggs sausage $15 (or... More

First time in Port A, found this place and it was crowded. Only had to wait a little bit, but very small cafe. Breakfast was great, awesome gravy and home fries. Don't come here if you have to be somewhere, they are slow as can be.

My favorite restaurant in Port A. I've been coming here since the first year they opened. It's the best shrimp I have ever eaten....and fried shrimp is my favorite meal, so I've eaten plenty through the years. Frankie gets the shrimp fresh off the boat and pulls it from the ice chest each time she receives an order. It has... More
