Amazing Lunch

We are creatures of habit when it comes to outstanding dishes at fine restaurants and find ourselves ordering the same entre rather than trying new ones. Such is the case at The Phoenix. I always have the Thunderbird Sandwich which is grilled chicken breast, roasted poblano peppers, manchego... read more

A cool bar, a private dining room, sushi and creative cooking, all in one location. Sushi is the best on the island. My favorite dishes are tuna stack or sea bass. Desserts are baked on the premises. The coconut cream pie is exceptional!

My husband and I have been coming to Port Aransas for many years. We have frequented most of the restaurants but hesitated on The Phoenix because our friends and acquaintances have told us it is expensive. Well, we decided to go Wednesday evening and what a disappointment. Victor, our server was good. He told us about the special but neglected... More

Our first meal in Port A and it was delicious. We had two orders of a starter shrimp with sesame seeds that were fantastic. Entree was snapper with salad and veggies and it was also excellent. Service was good, setting outside was nice in October and can't beat the food in Port A.

Jay at Amelia's Landing convinced us to check this place out and we were not disappointed. It was, hands-down, the best service and best food we had all weekend. Food was fresh and excellent. Can't wait to go back. What did we have? Crab cakes- lump with no fillers Scallops Snapper Peel and eat shrimp We'd order them all again.... More

Four of us had drinks and ate at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was delightful. She took care of our drinks and food order. I had the peel and eat shrimp which were the best and my husband had the crab cakes that were also yummy. Our friend had the tuna stack which she thought was great.... More

Great place to eat ....nice location now. Great place for lunch, and then you can go to great shopping steps away. I live here and buy my coastal gifts around here. The menu is small, BUT what you get is to die for ! I don't eat sushi, but apparently all love the great sushi chef, Dave, employed here. Great bars... More

Wonderful food and great service. Was surprised by the (relatively) limited variety on the menu. Wife have the fried fish, daughter the fried shrimp, and I had the red snapper. Appetizers were the quail and also the crab cakes. Everything was exceptional, fresh and very well prepared. They have indoor and outside dining as well. Things were a little on... More

We were a group of 6, hosted by exceptionally generous friends, so this time, price did not factor in for us, although I noted it was on the high end. Our server was attentive, and the food came to the table in a timely manner. I can say that the scallops were the best I've ever had; they melt in... More

Should've left when the hostess rolled her eyes at us and didn't seem to thrilled - the service was bad and it took forever to be acknowledged and the main course was terrible I sent it back ' the blue crab appetizer was good
