My husband and I are here year round. Since Phoenix moved, we have tried to have dinner at their new location. Last time, no one would answer the door when many people were in the bar. This time I called for reservations... First a call back,we could come first serve for patio seating. Then a return call to our cell... More

I don't know about you, but when I come to the beach I want to eat some fresh seafood. This was the second place we went to with a great decor but no fish plates on the menu. So we had a slice of coconut cream pie--which was fantastic and left. Don't come here if you are wanting to eat... More

We really enjoyed the original small restaurant, have now dined twice at the new location and were disappointed. The seafood choices are limited and don't seem as fresh, plus portions are small. Just an average restaurant now.

Café Phoenix was not what we were expecting. We had been hearing how good their Gyro was. We read the menu on Trip Advisor listing Gyro and Humus and decided to go on a Saturday night. We were looking forward to Humus and a Gyro. We were truly surprised when we were asked if we had a reservation. First clue... More

Food was average at best. Nothing to compliment, except the wonderful coconut cream pie. Just forget the entree and get the pie. Service was good.

Our first experience with Phoenix's new location was good. Overall, we were pleased with our food and with the ambiance. We sat outside so we could enjoy the breeze and live music. However, we were not impressed with our server. We waited at least a half hour for two appetizers. The dinner salad came out at the same time? Then... More

Now The Phoenix at 337 N Alister. Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We had a lump crab and avocado salad and swordfish kbobs which was the lunch special. Our server and the food were both excellent. We ate inside which was nicely furnished with linen tablecloths. Our server and the food were excellent. The tab for lunch was... More

We thought we would try the new place in town, but we're told the dining room was closed for a special catering. We were offered outside seating, but the temp was 95 degrees and we had just spent the day at the beach. Sorry we couldn't try the food, we were told it was good. Will try again next month... More

Apparently this restaurant has changed names and locations and is now called, THE PHOENIX and is located at 337 N. Alister St. We were a large party and arrived late on a weekend night. The hostess was honest in saying that she thought that the wait would be an 1 1/2. It was. We were told that there were only... More

So happy the Phoenix is open (again) and the new location is amazingly great, even when it's really hot outside its nice to sit outside under all those beautiful trees....with a great cocktail of course! The food is just as good as the old cafe Phoenix with your favorites still on the new menu and they have added new items... More
