Yummy!

This place is a huge upgrade from the previous location. Food was excellent, but the wait staff was not happy to be there. It's a little on the pricey side, but is much better than most places. Ordered the seafood platter and was able to get most of it grilled rather than fried. There is no... read more

We went here primarily because a friend had recommended the gluten-free beer on sale. If it hadn't been for that we would not have stayed. There was a mismatch on quality versus price. I had the steak which was fantastic and cooked to perfection, it was let down by adding the mushrooms, going with the excellent sauce and leaving out... More

We have heard over the years that The Phoenix was a great place to dine with a good Chef in the kitchen, however on our first visit were disappointed. I had he Crab cake entre (which was very good) except vegetables were terrible. They tried to cook down bagged baby carrots that never soften up....yuck! My husband ordered the "special"... More

Cafe Phoenix has been a favorite of ours for many years but we had dinner there recently and were very disappointed. Some items were overcooked while other things were undercooked. If there was any crab in the crab cake it was skillfully disguised. Cafe Phoenix is fairly expensive at dinner but is usually worth it. I hope that they were... More

When we went into the Blue Room of the Phoenix Restaurant/Bar, we were surprised by the level of sophistication, yet casual atmosphere; this bar could have just as easily been in Houston or Manhattan. We ordered a steak and shrimp and both were superb; I am extremely demanding with my steak, so this really surprised me. I can not say... More

Had to go up and pick up my drink from bar. Salads were iceberg and took forever. Very expensive for the slow service.

I've written a couple of reviews on Cafe Phoenix over the years and by far.. their food, service and the owner/Chef's knowledge of fresh off menu and standard fare selections are always outstanding. Their new location allows for a lot more happy diners in a warm and inviting ambiance. One of our all-time favorite dining spots on the island. We... More

I loved the old tiny Café Phoenix. I guess you can't always stay small, but IF you are going to go "big", hire more people! Back when they were just an 8 top you always received appropriate services... because it was a tiny place! Now they have relocated to a much large space. Our reservations were at 8pm, and we... Made RESERVATIONS for 7:30 didn't even get say roll after 8 which was crazy then we sat at a table for 20mins till Victor finally took our drink order. When he finally came he was always rushing. They didn't have enough staff for a Saturday night. Also... More
