Pricey but excellent food

A little pricey but the food was excellent. The wait staff was average. We waited longer than I would have liked. But, my tuna was cooked perfect so I really can't complain.

My sister and her husband came to visit us in Corpus Christi and we wanted to check out the beach and go eat. We picked The Phoenix thinking it was the restaurant that was previously at this location. We had eaten there 6 years ago. A guy that greeted us at the door was very welcoming and striked up a... Tonight, March 19th, 2015 Thursday. Went in, BIG MISTAKE. Three adults, one teen, two tweens. Hungry. Ready to settle in and enjoy evening & meal. Waited over 90 minutes for a really poor meal. We discussed walking out, but felt sooooo bad for the embarrassed waitress that it was like a surreal hostage situation. Place was more than half empty,... More

A very nice addition to the restaurant scene in little Port Aransas. A little pricy, but excellent food and service. The fish dishes were excellent and their wine cellar is more than adequate. You won't be disappointed.

My brother and I wanted to try Phoenix after all the positive reviews. We were seated at a nice table, and ordered a drink. Very nice waitress explained the menu well. We ordered crab claw appetizers that were served cold with a garlic butter sauce, they were average. We each ordered fish, and my brother who is not a bit... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Port A. My wife enjoy eating lunch and dinner here. The food is very good with average wait staff. Lunch is a little on the expensive side and about average price for dinner for a restaurant of this caliper. I recommend making reservations for dinner. Also if the weather is nice sit... More

Smooth jazz, great martinis, delicious appetizers, and wonderful fried oysters. Tuna tower is great too!!! Sit in the interior bar and have arene take care of you. We are so happy to be here.. You will be too! Enjoy!

We went for lunch, I noticed in other reviews that the servers brought bread to the table...They did not with us, but maybe because it was lunch time instead of dinner. I had the fish, shrimp, and oysters...the shrimp I thought would be better since it was a gulf town, it was definitely store bought frozen shrimp, don't do the whole... More

We have been dying to try The Phoenix (formerly Cafe Phoenix) all month when we finally, decided to go last night. We made reservations for 7:30 and were there on time and were promptly seated. Five minutes passed without being greeted by our server, ten minutes, tick tock, tick tock, ticked off until 16 minutes into the wait, the server... More

The wait staff was great and very friendly. However, I woke up with food poisoning this morning and it was most unpleasant! The fresh bread was great, though, but I am convinced that the lump crab was somehow tainted because I very rarely get food poisoning and I travel quite a bit. That was most unfortunate since I had to... More
