Very good experience

I can't believe I hadn't discovered this place before. It's tucked away in a building that looks to have been a Pizza Hut in a former life, but appearances are deceiving. The owner greeted my wife and me as we waited for our table, and he went over their menu (which is complemented by large photos... read more

This place is nothing to look at. Looks like an old Pizza Hut or something but the food is FANTASTIC! Always busy and they only take reservations for parties of 6 or more or if you have ordered ahead for the Beggar's Chicken or the Peking Duck Whole. The price is GREAT and it's a BYOB.

We went last night as a family and really enjoyed our experience. Very cute place, yummy food, great prices. We've lived close for over a year, kinda sad we've never tried it before.

This is a place that proves you don't have to be in the hottest part of town to find an outstanding meal. Mr. Wok is in East Plano and not the part of the town that is seeing rebirth. But Taft isn't important. What's important is the food and it is great. We had the Thai Coconut Curry and String... More

I have yet to eat a dish here I haven't liked. They have the standard Chinese restaurant dishes, but with their own house-made sauces. Adding to that are their own specialties like their Thai Coconut Curry or the Thai Fillet of Sole. If you're adventurous try the Chinese menu - I'm a fan of the Pork with Pickled Cabbage and... We visited 5/13/15 in the evening. They offer a wide variety of meals, and reasonable prices. We ordered the Hot & Sour Soup, Orange Chicken, Egg Foo Yung, and a side order of Pork Fried Rice. Everything was incredible! The Orange Chicken is made from large chunks of chicken breast and it is lightly breaded. We will have to return... More

Jack and Allison converted a former Pizza Hut restaurant into the go-to place in the DFW Metroplex to satiate your craving for crispy duck skin... The food is just amazing. And if you are not adventurous and prefer to stick to the traditional Chinese-American dishes, you would be missing out on the star of the show. The duck is luscious... More

We are pretty regular visitors to Mr. Wok. The food is delicious & the atmosphere is fun. The building looks like a converted Pizza Hut. Love the mu shu and Mongolian beef. Lots of yummy noodle dishes. The asparagus special that is a regular on the special menu is delicious. Most everything we have tried has been good. The cinnamon... More

While I have eaten at Mr. Wok's several times, last night was my first time for the Peking Duck. It was a ceremony (carving table side) and it was delicious. My husband and I fully enjoyed it. Today, I ate the stir fry from the bones of the duck. Nothing wasted. We have enjoyed most everything we have eaten here.... More

I've been waiting three years to try this restaurant near my in-laws home in Plano and finally made it. They don't take reservations unless you have a party of six or more, or order the Peking Duck. I was impressed how we were met at the door by Jack who was quite pleasant to talk to while we waited for... More
