Tasty, affordable, and unique

I have yet to eat a dish here I haven't liked. They have the standard Chinese restaurant dishes, but with their own house-made sauces. Adding to that are their own specialties like their Thai Coconut Curry or the Thai Fillet of Sole. If you're adventurous try the Chinese menu - I'm a fan of the... read more

We visited 5/13/15 in the evening. They offer a wide variety of meals, and reasonable prices. We ordered the Hot & Sour Soup, Orange Chicken, Egg Foo Yung, and a side order of Pork Fried Rice. Everything was incredible! The Orange Chicken is made from large chunks of chicken breast and it is lightly breaded. We will have to return... More

Jack and Allison converted a former Pizza Hut restaurant into the go-to place in the DFW Metroplex to satiate your craving for crispy duck skin... The food is just amazing. And if you are not adventurous and prefer to stick to the traditional Chinese-American dishes, you would be missing out on the star of the show. The duck is luscious... More

We are pretty regular visitors to Mr. Wok. The food is delicious & the atmosphere is fun. The building looks like a converted Pizza Hut. Love the mu shu and Mongolian beef. Lots of yummy noodle dishes. The asparagus special that is a regular on the special menu is delicious. Most everything we have tried has been good. The cinnamon... More

While I have eaten at Mr. Wok's several times, last night was my first time for the Peking Duck. It was a ceremony (carving table side) and it was delicious. My husband and I fully enjoyed it. Today, I ate the stir fry from the bones of the duck. Nothing wasted. We have enjoyed most everything we have eaten here.... More

I've been waiting three years to try this restaurant near my in-laws home in Plano and finally made it. They don't take reservations unless you have a party of six or more, or order the Peking Duck. I was impressed how we were met at the door by Jack who was quite pleasant to talk to while we waited for... More

We took our three children in for dinner on New Year's Eve. We arrived at 5 since we had not made reservations, and there was only one other couple dining. Our food came out, literally one plate at a time, over the course of an hour. Our waiter never returned, but the drinks were attentively refilled. There was a warning... More

More than just Chinese food, Mr. Wok serves up a variety of food from Asia. My favorite is Cha Han, a Japanese rice dish. Jack, the owner, is typically at the restaurant, and can often be seen carving up a roasted duck table-side. He's recently done some exterior remodeling, turning the former Pizza Inn (or something) into a more visually... More

I never understood why the Dallas area has very mediocre chineese food. Now, we found Mr. Wok. The food was good & the service was excellent. Mr. Wok only needs to open in W. Plano.

The interior doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled - the food is always excellent. They make the best pot stickers!
