Worth the trip to Plano.

We had eaten here last year so we invited some friends to join us on an excursion from Irving to Plano via the TRE and DART rail. The restaurant is a short walk from the Plano Dart rail stop downtown. It is worth the trip! The restaurant was crowded and noisy at lunch. The Muttis Jäger Schnitzel... read more

The Sachertorte alone is enough to go in, full bore and hungry, to Café Vienna! Start with Gitti's Favorite then the Paprika Schnitzel and finally the SACHERTORTE!!! Its just a short walk up a slight hill, heading East from DART Downtown Plano Station. Its worth it.

The food taste good and the atmosphere is nice. It is a little noisy though. It isnt cheap. Today they ran out of the 2 beers I order on tap so I ventured on to the bottle beer, Spaten Optimator IT WAS SKUNKY. Even the people at the table next to me thought so. They still charged me for it... More

The cook "Jorg" is Austrian. I was somewhat disappointed when I found out that the "Cafe" was really more of a Bierstube, but we loved the food. It was very authentic and tasty. The atmosphere was nice, but conversation was difficult because it was quite noisy when we were there. I would definitely go back!

A little piece of Germany in downtown Plano. Our chicken meals and salads were delicious, as were the sides. I lived in Germany as a teen and this restaurant brings back great memories! The desserts looked delicious, though we were too full to indulge.

Happy birthday to me today at Jorg's Café Vienna! We went to lunch at 2 PM in the rain, so we were the only diners for a time there in Old Downtown Plano. Our waitress was a well-traveled world traveler former massage therapist from Denver, and we shared many a tale of travel and writing (she writes cookbooks, I write... More

My aunt and uncle have been here quite a bit and talked about how great this Jorg guy is. This is a cute little restaurant and bar and is out of this world cool to sit at the bar and talk with the Austrian Jorg and his family that really make this place. If you have no idea what you... More
