We like the fact you can choose food from different regions of Texas. However, by far my favorite is Sunday's All You Can Eat BIG (HUGE) Beef ribs!!! Their spice is a tad spicy more than I like, after the bbq sauce it balances out. Service is a hit or miss...sometimes it's great while other times (later in the night)... More

This place is a lot like The Texas Roadhouse minus the peanuts. My daughter & I ate here a few days ago right at 5 PM and it was good but a little out of my budget. I think they are a bit of a honky tonk with the booze & music. You must try the garlic mashed potatoes w/gravy... More

Went here for the first time with my hubby. Service was very slow from the time we walked in. It took a long time just to get water and after 10 minutes my husband had to go find someone to bring us our Caesar salad. The waiter was nice and apologized but kept forgetting things. Thank goodness the prime rib... More

I love the idea of Love and War. The food is okay but I wasn't over the top about it. I've been lots of times and haven't got excited about anything I ordered. But this review is about my last visit. We sat on the patio to hear a band. I love the atmosphere and setting. But the service is... More

Had to try a place with a name like this. Did not disappoint, in the Texas-style decor and varied but Texas-based menu. Started with the Waltz Across Texas, an appetizer sampler (that does permit limited substitutions). Barbara Bush's Fried Green Beans were terrific, and the Wagon Wheels (fried pickle chips) were fine. The smoked chicken flautas were tasty, but the... More

This casual dining place is known for chicken-fried steak the size of a full dinner plate (extremely large, but a bit tough), but their real dish is their chicken-fried chicken. Great crispy batter and juicy, delicious chicken! It is a good sized portion, too. The sides are average if not a bit overcooked, but the chicken is well worth a... More
