We dined here last evening. It was about my 10th visit over the last 10 years of so. We always like the food. Last evening, I got the blackened salmon, & others got the mahi. Portions are huge and the sides are also. Service was excellent .

Having lived in Plano for over 18 years, I have taken many trips to Fishmonger's in the past to grab some seafood. In the beginning, the food was acceptable, the restaurant usually full, and the wait staff pleasant. Then, the restaurant moved across the parking lot to what was once the Chili's restaurant located along the highway. That was several... More

2 combination platters and a shrimp platter. All fried, all overcooked, all way overpriced. Needed a steak knife to cut the 4 butterflied shrimp. Needed a magnifying glass to see the oysters. Catfish was a thin dry portion. Didn't attempt to eat the French fries after one bite, too hard and overcooked. Out the door cost was about $25 a... More

The food was fair, however it wasn't great. Everything we order I have had better somewhere else. I had heard good things but I don't see what they saw.

My husband and I like to try new places so we decided to take a chance at Fishmonger! Sorry to say the food was terrible! Shrimp not fresh and husbands fish was very chewy! The sides were not good either. For the first time ever we only took one bite and told our server. He was very accommodating and ask... More

While casting about on Google for a place to eat, we discovered that we were 200 feet from Fishmongers in Plano. What the heck, let's eat there - it'll be an adventure. Boy, were we wrong! It was an 'adventure', it was 'awesome'. I had Blacked Scallops on a skewer with red beans and rice. My bride had Shrimp Brochette.... More

Went with 2 co-workers for lunch. They offer an all-you-can eat of catfish, tilapia and popcorn shrimp. Well prepared, and they don't hesitate to bring you more if you want. They also offer a nice New England-style clam chowder. We had good service. The dining area is fairly basic, but then nothing more was necessary.

We revisited this fish house after many years. Food used to be mostly fried but now you can get almost anything baked or blackened. All four of us had some form of tilapia or redfish and all were very good. One started with gumbo which she enjoyed. We all had green or Greek salads and all were fresh and tasty.... More

Just okay...nothing more. Food was very ordinary or average....not horrible but not great. Atmosphere also very basic. It was our first time there. We won't be back again. Prices a bit higher than some of the really good fish places we've been. Why pay more for less?

My spouse and I went to Fishmongers for lunch today. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired as this is a rather bland looking restaurant inside. We were first served a salad which was with vinaigrette however the greens were wilted and the vinaigrette was almost all oil. The salad was tasteless. Then came the entree which for me was... More
