While casting about on Google for a place to eat, we discovered that we were 200 feet from Fishmongers in Plano. What the heck, let's eat there - it'll be an adventure. Boy, were we wrong! It was an 'adventure', it was 'awesome'. I had Blacked Scallops on a skewer with red beans and rice. My bride had Shrimp Brochette.... More

Went with 2 co-workers for lunch. They offer an all-you-can eat of catfish, tilapia and popcorn shrimp. Well prepared, and they don't hesitate to bring you more if you want. They also offer a nice New England-style clam chowder. We had good service. The dining area is fairly basic, but then nothing more was necessary.

We revisited this fish house after many years. Food used to be mostly fried but now you can get almost anything baked or blackened. All four of us had some form of tilapia or redfish and all were very good. One started with gumbo which she enjoyed. We all had green or Greek salads and all were fresh and tasty.... More

Just okay...nothing more. Food was very ordinary or average....not horrible but not great. Atmosphere also very basic. It was our first time there. We won't be back again. Prices a bit higher than some of the really good fish places we've been. Why pay more for less?

My spouse and I went to Fishmongers for lunch today. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired as this is a rather bland looking restaurant inside. We were first served a salad which was with vinaigrette however the greens were wilted and the vinaigrette was almost all oil. The salad was tasteless. Then came the entree which for me was... More

This was our first time here and we had a great experience as soon as we walked in. Our waiter, Gary, was incredibly nice and attentive. The food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!!

We use to live close to this restaurant and would eat there once a month for six years. Moved away fourteen years ago and when back in January 2014 and they still had our favorite dish on the menu. It tasted just a good as it did back when we lived there. Gary was our server and he had just... More

We went on a Sunday afternoon. The lunch menu is active seven days a week until 4 PM. The offerings are almost identical to the regular menu. The serving sizes are smaller, but it was perfect for me. It was a little larger than a deck of cards. The service was wonderful, but the patrons were ill-mannered. They were loud... More

I have been going to Fishmonger's since the early 1980s. It used to be in the strip center behind its current location. They relocated to the old Chili's location near the corner of Park and 75. You never went to Fishmonger's for the decor, ambience or an attentive staff. None of that has changed. The decor is dated. The staff... More

We have always heard good things about Fishmongers so we decided to try it. It was not at all what we expected. Dated decor, boring food presentations, and high menu prices. I honestly expected Robert Irvine to walk in and do an episode of restaurant impossible. My husband liked his fried fish plate, but my grilled tilapia was awful. I... More
