We may be a bit biased...this is one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas...but there is a reason for that. We have been here multiple times...usually for a special occasion. Last night was our wedding anniversary, and as usual, we were thrilled with the experience. We were greeted at the door and as soon as I gave them our name,... More

When we came in at 5 p.m. we were asked if we had a reservation. Um, no, it's 5 p.m. on Sunday so we didn't think to make one. For a minute I thought maybe they couldn't accommodate us in the empty restaurant. A young woman came up, asked us how many, and seated us -- even gave us a... More

Having eaten in 25+ restaurants in area, we were angry we had never been to Roy's before. A great surprise since we used to live in Boston and have traveled extensively in CA but this was one of the best seafood dinners we have had. Wine list was good, serve excellent, and there is typically a Groupon coupon available on... More

We arrived for aloha hour and were told we had to order at the bar. We left our table to order at the bar and were promptly told we could not take our drinks to our table. Our table was 5 feet from the bar. So we could either have happy hour prices at the small and stuffy bar, or... More

The service was very friendly, but slow. The featured cocktails are good and fun...I had a ginger martini. Hubby liked his "house" Merlot. The sushi was just OK as other reviews have said. We did not think that the complimentary edamame was overcooked and the spice was great! My shrimp & pork gyoza was tasty but luke warm. My hubby's... More

Food was okay. I guess I didn't order the right thing because I didn't think it was that great. I had a sushi roll for appetizer. It was just okay, I've had lots better sushi around the area. I ordered steak and it came with their mashed potatoes. The steak had a burnt taste to it even though I ordered... More

Overall a very good seafood place in far North Dallas (actually Plano but on the Dallas North Tollway). Willow Bend Area. You can trust the appetizers and sushi. BBQ ribs are also excellent. Salad offerings cold, crisp and flavorful. Seafood is fresh and prepared to order. I ordered a Chef's special Swordfish and the fish was excellent. Monkfish is always... More

Went there with family to celebrate sister-in-law's retirement and nephew's college graduation. First, this Roy's did not have the "Hawaii feel" we were used to, just seemed like a nice corporate restaurant. Second, the mac nut mahi that two of us had was barely OK...it hardly had a mac nut crust to it (it was like it did not adhere... More

Great Place to Feel like family and also to experience the best poke ever. Love their special drinks. Never know what great new cocktail will appear on the menu. The happy hour is great for snacks and drinks, but I love to have the whole dining experience. The staff is so friendly and professional at the same time. The managing... More

We go to Roy's for not only aloha hour but also for dinner. We also hit all the major events - Mother's Day brunch, Easter, etc. plus bdays, anniversarys and such. Roy's isn't about quantity. It's about the freshest ingredients made into gourmet creations which completely satiate the palette. The staff is wonderful and always make us feel like family.... More
