Great Fun For New Years

Walking into the Bavarian Grill is the next best thing to taking an actual trip to Germany. There is nothing like it for taking a "mini vacation" to Europe without leaving Plano or Dallas. The restaurant space is huge and winding. It has a large main dining area (better for families) and a separated indoor Biergarten area, with custom beers... More

I did an exchange program in the Black Forest so I hold my German food to a high standard. I am happy to say the food here met or exceeded every expectation I had for authentic German cuisine. The beer menu is fantastic with great prices. The food is just great. Everyone in our group tasted each other's meals. There... More

I was well taken care of from the time I came in to the time I left. Friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. Delicious gluten free wiener schnitzel and cold, gluten free beer! I ate at lunch time (less expensive). I will be back when I'm in Plano again.

Tldr: great bread, huge German beer menu, crisp tender schnitzel, fantastic bacon wrapped sausage stuffed quail. Wife and I came on a Thursday night around 6pm. Prompt service, great beer menu fantastic bread basket. Ordered a bacon wrapped elk sausage stuffed quail smothered in a cherry sauce, very fabtastic, wish the cherries had either more sweetness or more sour, something... More

I hate to be mean/rude but I had such a bad experience here. They tried to make it up to me, offered all kinds of things but I'm not a dog or a cat and did not like their selection of canned dog and cat food. Do yourself a favor and just don't go. I do have some minimum standards... More

Well this is an authentic German place but the owner seems extra cranky all the time. He seems to be very tough on his staff, and not in a good way. It is noticeable and it actually made me a little creeped out. I doubt I will return.

I've been coming to this restaurant for 15 plus years. The food is always consistent. The menu does change for the season and during the summer the outdoor dining is great. I have never been disappointed. I don't prefer their potato pancake but they do allow substitutions so no need worry. They menu is large. My only suggestion is to... More

The only authentic items at our table were the imported beer and mustard. What was advertised as Weisswurst, turned out to be 2 skinny grayish sausages ,that tasted as bad as they looked. The green beans were inedible,no one could mistake the brownish potatoes as potato salad, had I not been a guest, I would have left . It gives me no pleasure... More

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who has frequented here many times. I decided to go on my birthday. The ambience is similar to that of Munich. Juergen, the host, greeted us and we proceeded to tell him it was our first time and it was my birthday. He was very gracious. The beer was very good. I had... More
