Went for the second time, thinking I had miss something the first time I went there. But definitely, I don't like the food, with the only exception of the Whiskey Cake. And it is expensive for what you get.

Looking for an interesting place for brunch on Saturday? Go straight to the Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar in Plano, just off the toll way. Their signature morning drink is a Bloody Mary. The waiter brings your glass with ice and vodka and points you to the bar where you can pick your juice, seasonings, accoutrements and decorations! Superb. Don't... More

I loved this place and will return everytime we go to Dallas. Everyone was attentive and kind. The manager walked by at the end of our meal just to make sure everything was great. We had the chicken and waffles and started with fried green tomatoes. I can't even begin to describe how great they were! Thank you!

This place is great!! The chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict and pork grits and eggs were fabulous...and of course, the whiskey cake!! Drinks were good too. Wish we had one in Houston! Love the ambience and service as well. Also, I liked the chalkboards that showed where the food had came from within the state of Texas. Got to support... More

OMG!!!!! That was the name of the Burger. My co-worker suggested this place since I was going to North Dallas for the afternoon. Since I was by myself, I choose to eat at the bar. The bartenders were nice and extremely busy making some really cool drinks. I started with Fried Green Tomatoes which were the best ever!! Will get... More

Decided to try Whiskey Cake with family on a Saturday night. The wait was respectable and the waitstaff was very friendly. We ordered the Devilled Eggs and Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizers. The tomatoes were cooked perfectly and Whiskey Cake offers an interesting twist to their delicious Devilled eggs. For an entree I had the Chicken and Cheese Sandwich which... More

Went for a Sunday 3pm afternoon meal with the family. We were reluctantly seated by the manager because they had to have the table for a 6pm reservation – I guess he thought we were going to camp out. Once this was explained, I suggested to him we could leave now and just received a deer in the headlights look.... More

I went here for a change instead of Brickhouse tavern and tap. We sat at the bar and we had drinks. I ordered a bee sting $9.00 and a beer 9.00 Drinks were good but expensive. I liked everything about the place except the bill. They used mostly locally grown items. The atmosphere was really nice. Had outdoor seating. The... More

Stopped in here with family on recent Sunday late afternoon. Our server was extremely knowledgeable explaining the menu. We tried two of the specialty drinks. Can't remember names but best was a gin with carrot juice. Both were very refreshing. Menu has interesting items. I had the pork brisket on corn grits with slice apples. It was excellent. Would definitely... More

Great food, great service! One of our family's newest favorites! Love that they have unique items compared to the same old thing at other restaurants.
