Good Pizza and nice service, got in and out prior to our movie next door...prices are a little above average, but the flavor and quality are worth it

Coal Vines is a small restaurant which is designed to feel like an upscale, casual restaurant in the neighborhood. The tortilla soup, unexpected in an Italian eatery was delicious. The pizza was huge with flavor to match. The chicken Marsala was perfect. One person at our table couldn't stop raving about the meatball sliders. He said the cheese in the... More

My wife and I tried this place with another couple. We were disappointed with the service. We felt rushed by the waiter to turn the table. We ordered drinks, our friends ordered wine and were not impressed. We ordered appetizers that did not arrive at all. Our waiter apologized but made no other offer to make things right. Our friends... More

Atmosphere was very good. Tons of wine to choose from. Neatly tucked away in the Arts District. We had wood fired pizza. A must try is the fried zucinni!

Surprisingly good spot and not too expensive, especially if you do not drink. Good selection of wines and a nice variety of casual Italian dishes. Enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere - not rowdy and but not too quiet. Overall, a nice experience for an out of town dinner...

While most restaurants that serve pizza are more fast food or bar type, this restaurant gives you the feel of a much more upscale place with its large assortment of wines, it's fresh clean decor and terrific pizza. We frequent CV often since it is not far from where we live. The vibrant atmosphere of the area and the friendliness... More

Outdoor seating (faces west, so you'll want to avoid it in the dead of summer at 4pm). Good happy hour prices on glasses of wine. Knowledgeable staff on the wine, too.

Enjoyed a late dinner here on a cooler night outside. I had the bolognese while a colleague of mine ordered the 'regular' pizza. Both meals were delicious, and I would absolutely come here again for the food. The only downside was the service. I'm not sure if the service was lacking becuase it was after typical dinner hours, and we... More

We went to coal vines as a second option but we were completely impressed By the delicious appetizers/salads/drinks offered. Great atmosphere and everything was delicious. We will be going back because some other items looked great we saw others order.

Coal Vines is located on the north side of the Shops of Legacy, and although it's a small restaurant it has a wonderful ambiance and romantic feel. Great date night destination. Their pizza's are always excellent and they have a great wine list with nightly wine specials. Request to sit outside on the patio if the weather permits for great... More
