Had lunch here. Great home style cooking with large portions and served with corn bread and rolls. Several main entrees on daily special with 3 sides. More than I could eat but still wanted dessert so took a slice of pie home for later. We arrived at a busy time so 10 minute wait but food served promptly. Serve breakfast... More

I was brought here with a group and quickly scanned the reviews to see what was good, and the chicken fried steak was something that kept on coming up. So I got the breakfast #1 with the chicken fried steak with grits (because I have never tried grits before) and biscuits with a side of sausage. Grits are not my... More

They have daily dinner specials that are very filling. You can have breakfast all day. I just wish they stayed open later but since they open so early I guess thy need the rest ;)

I had a sliced roast beef plate. I couldn't eat it all. I had sliced roast beef with gravy over it, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a dinner salad with rolls & cornbread. It was the special of the day for $8.99. More than I could eat & I really liked it. I was seated, got my water, ordered... More

This is a very simple diner. Formica tables and booths, vinyl chairs. Funny little writings on the wall. A very busy wait staff that matter of factly takes your order, delivers drinks and bread and checks on you a couple of times as you dine. It's a family and friend place. I ate fried chicken livers and brought half of... More

Let me say first off that their desserts are really yummy! While they're food is definately like " your mama used to make", if you are used to gourmet like I am, you may not enjoy the quality of the food. The servers need to take a refresher course on keeping a customers drinks re-filled. This is my pet peave.... More

I've eaten here a couple times, for breakfast, and lunch. The food was ok, for a quick meal, but nothing special. I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

I don't care what your mama used to say about eating all the food on your plate I have two words of advice; Stop! Don't!. My wife and I stopped in for a bite; I had the hamburger, she had the stew. The vegetables in the stew were overcooked and soggy. Then hamburger was passable. The service, however, was abysmal.... More

This place has the best breakfasts, lunches and dinners. GREAT menu, great value...and really fun waitresses and hostesses. The restaurant is decorated with quotes that a Mama would say. The biscuits are amazing, the grilled catfish is one of my favorites, the chicken fried steak enormous and delicious, and the omelettes (even my favorite made with Eggbeaters, spinich and swiss... have been to this restaurant 5 times now, and each time the food is great. It feels like sunday dinner at grandma's. The waitstaff is always friendly from the youngest to the oldest. My husband says that their biscuits are some of the best he has ever had. I would definately say to give this restaurant a try. Happy eating!
