I was one of their first customers at the Harry Hines location. They were over the top and there was line out the door. The portions were huge. The freshness and taste, I'm talking about seasoning was perfect. The food always came to the table hot. I expect my food to be hot. Went there for years, even drove over... More

I have gone to the original one on Harry Hines for years. I am glad to see you are now in Plano and expanding to other areas. This is the BEST home cooked food in the metroplex.

Excellent food for all four of us. First time at this location. So quaint and about 100 times nicer than the Lewisville location. Replica of a 50's diner. Server was great and food was delicious. Fried chicken livers..A+, Meat Loaf..A+, Chicken and dumplings..A+, Chicken fried chicken..A+. Will definitely go back.

Had lunch here. Great home style cooking with large portions and served with corn bread and rolls. Several main entrees on daily special with 3 sides. More than I could eat but still wanted dessert so took a slice of pie home for later. We arrived at a busy time so 10 minute wait but food served promptly. Serve breakfast... More

I was brought here with a group and quickly scanned the reviews to see what was good, and the chicken fried steak was something that kept on coming up. So I got the breakfast #1 with the chicken fried steak with grits (because I have never tried grits before) and biscuits with a side of sausage. Grits are not my... More

I had a sliced roast beef plate. I couldn't eat it all. I had sliced roast beef with gravy over it, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, a dinner salad with rolls & cornbread. It was the special of the day for $8.99. More than I could eat & I really liked it. I was seated, got my water, ordered... More

This is a very simple diner. Formica tables and booths, vinyl chairs. Funny little writings on the wall. A very busy wait staff that matter of factly takes your order, delivers drinks and bread and checks on you a couple of times as you dine. It's a family and friend place. I ate fried chicken livers and brought half of... More

Let me say first off that their desserts are really yummy! While they're food is definately like " your mama used to make", if you are used to gourmet like I am, you may not enjoy the quality of the food. The servers need to take a refresher course on keeping a customers drinks re-filled. This is my pet peave.... More
