The great thing about this place is the people who run it.. The food is so good and the employees are so friendly!! Now owner Frank tries to greet each customer by serving them a drink while waiting to order.. The funny thing now is that this place is not a secret anymore.. People line out the door.. The catfish... More

It was cold outside and the special of the day was catfish with red beans and rice from the Fish Shack. The only thing we dreaded was a long line and since many times the lines are out the front door that would be too cold to stand and wait. Nevertheless we headed for the Fish Shack and got there... Once you try, you'll be back and the owner, Frank, will remember your name. The frozen margaritas are out of this world. Fish taco and cod are great. The oysters on-the-half shells are large. My favorite! We love this restaurant.

This is a family favorite. When I say family that includes, cousins, nephews, uncles, everyone! We always get the fried shrimp & catfish. The Santorini Shrimp Cocktail is yummy, could use a few more tomatoes, but the flavor is great. I love the Fish Tacos, as well. The service is on par for the type of self serve restaurant it... I am a tourist and visited this place as a result of TripAdvisor reviews. I am very happy that I found it. It is easy to find from the Central Expressway (US 75). This place has about the same ambience as Long John Silver only the seafood food is much better than LJ's and is reasonably priced. If you want... More

Was looking for fried fish - but not catfish. Was pleasantly surprised to find that they had not one but at least two choices other than fried catfish -- haddock and tilapia. I had the fried haddock and it was hot, moist and tasty. Also had clam chowder -- a little different, but good. Have been here before and had... More

This place has excellent entrees of fresh fish of various types. The food is outstanding and always prepared properly. It also is very reasonably priced. Don't expect a fancy place because there is practically no ambience. You order at the counter and wait for your orders to be delivered to you. No tablecloths! The police eat here because it is... Our family has enjoyed eating at the Fish Shack regularly for the last three years. We all love seafood but are picky about it tasting fresh. The Fish Shack is by far the best family seafood place that we have experienced in the area.

We've been enjoying meals at Fish Shack since it opened. It's a great "mom and pop" place, and we're glad we're not far away. The building housing it started its life as a Long John Silver's seafood place, so it isn't big at all. There is a main dining area and an enclosed climate controlled add-on patio. Decor is simple... Fish Shack has been going strong for several years now. On the cusp of downtown Plano, I've enjoyed watching the place grow a little, but glad it hasn't changed. I enjoy watching the cooks prepare the massive amounts of food to feed the enormous number of hungry patrons. You can sit at a bar and watch, but one can also... More
