huge fan of the Keg

The keg is one of those places that has excellent service personnel and great bartenders! They have a limited steak and seafood and chicken menu, but it is consistent and well done. The food is cooked the way you ask for it. Avoid items like chicken fingers, queso and focus on what they do well... read more

We dined at The Keg on Feb 9, 2016 for the first time. Place has a great atmosphere, not specifically romantic or anything as you do have booths with short walls so there is a noise factor. We did pass by the bar/lounge area and it seemed really cozy with the dimmer lights and fire in the fireplace. We had... More

I took family and friends to dine at this restaurant and we tried several curses which included the Ribeye Steak, the Steak and Lobster, and The Filet. They were sold out of the Prime Rib (which is what we came for). The service was reasonable although the waitress seemed uniformed about some of the entrees and mispelled the name of... More

I decided to take a large group of customers to the restaurant and booked the private room (Fire side dinning) very nice ambience. The server (Cameron or "Cam") was very knowledgable and pleasant. If you get a chance ask for him and you'll be pleased. I'll be back soon great menu with many choices.

My wife and I came in for a late dinner and ended up just having appetizers in the bar. We split the Tuna Tacos and Medallions with small Lobster Tail and it was fabulous!

A nice pub like atmosphere, but very noisy. The waitress was outstanding and they had Dallas Blonde on tap. I thought the pricing was too high at $28 for a 6 ounce sirloin and $28 for a full slab of pork ribs.

Tried the Keg in Plano for the first time when travelling through the area and was impressed with the quality and value of the food as well as the excellent service. We tried both the Filet and the Prime Rib under the Classic Menu which includes you choice of salad and side and mushrooms for a nominal increase in price... More

The experience was so, so. Two people in the party ordered Prime Rib. One had to be taken back to be cooked as it was almost rare and the other was brown and like shoe leather. Atmosphere is nice and service was acceptable. Basically did not receive the value for the money spent.

Food was great, service was friendly and on point. All,of their food was well seasoned and very tasty. My favorite was steak, I had it Chicago style. It was toasty on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the inside. Mushrooms were amazing, these are now my absolute favorite! I was impressed with the overall experience. It wasn't outrageously expensive... More

As you walk in this restaurant, the smell of natural gas almost knocks you out. Very disconcerting. (I was afraid there was a gas leak, but was told it's because they have a big fireplace. I don't care how big the fireplace it, the restaurant shouldn't smell like gas when you walk in!) Prime rib was VERY tough, even though... More
