I came on my birthday celebration with my family this year. My toddler was with me too. I understand the stress a toddler could bring to a dining environment. So I thought of nothing when our waitress grabbed the chopstick my son took in his hand and gave it to me. However, constantly the waiter and other waitress in the... More

We have been to this restaurant a number of times during the year, so we put them to the ultimate test and went there for New Year's Eve dinner. Super, super busy, but they still provided prompt service and great food. Not sure how they could do it with such a crowd, but they did. Staffed up I suppose for... More

Best Chinese in Plano. A little more expensive than most other Chinese in area, but worth it. Best value is the Monday through Friday lunch.

Our waitperson recommended Pepper Steak and Yao Fuzi Prawn. Both were delicious. Nice atmosphere and helpful, attentive staff. Pricing is higher than other Chinese restaurants, but quality is superior.

Two couples who eat out a lot won't be back. The food is simply average. Their pricing suggests they think otherwise. Blue Crab and Cheese Wontons-badly undercooked; Tempura Halibut-bland and nearly tasteless; Yao's Five Spice Spare Ribs-no spice, little taste, bland; Panfried Duck with Mandarin Sauce-too fatty with very little meat, bland; Sweet and Sour Chicken-bland, you can do better... This is one of our favorite restaurants. Yes, it is overpriced but the food is fresh and tastes wonderful. This visit was with a large group that meets once a month in a different restaurant each month. The servers were excellent: very attentive and very professional. The Shanghai won ton soup is a wonderful way to start a meal. This... More

Went with supper club; waitstaff was helpful; service was a bit slow, but didn't concern us because we were visiting. Hot & sour soup was very generous; sweet & sour chicken not so good-served with a very small dish of sauce, not enough to dip all of the chicken; sesame chicken very good; one of our group had the Yao... Yao Fuzi is always a fun place to go for dinner. An upscale Chinese Restaurant with an excellent wine list. Be sure to go on Wednesday night when select wines are half price. Chris, the owner, is always friendly and ensuring everything is going well. We happen to think the Yao Fuzi Prawns are amazing with their golden hollandaise and... More

The atmosphere is good; the dining room is lovely; the wine list is stellar; the bar is festive....but the food??? ITS AMAZING! Fried halibut tempura appetizer? Well try it yourself. The service is really super, the menu is filled with exciting choices...and I agree with others who comment that the dining room might be a bit crowded and noisy. If... More

We often visit Yao Fuzi because it is consistently excellent quality and the portions are generous at dinner. At lunch, you have the option to order the lunch portion which is a bit smaller, but still plenty as it includes either steamed or fried rice. The edamame is always good and a basic appetizer that we order on every visit.... More
